Would Vin Diesel hit a women?

As always, the Box Office Results from last weekend:
  1. Think Like a Man
  2. The Pirates! Band of Misfits
  3. The Lucky One
  4. The Hunger Games
  5. The Five-Year Engagement
Now on to the Movie news for the week:
  • The setting/backdrop for Anchorman 2 has been reveled. It will revolve around the 24-hour news cycle in the late 1970's. They will be writing the story for the next three months, so we are going to have to wait until then to get any more news. I don't know about you, but i'm excited about this.
  • Jason Statham is no longer being considered for Fast 6, a.k.a. Fast and the Furious 6, and is already getting replaced. Gina Carano, Haywire, will be taking his place as an unannounced character. My guess is she will play the Diplomatic Security Service Agent Luke Hobbs’, Dwayne Johnson, of Europe. This is a weird turn since the gang and Gina Carano's character will most likely have to fight at some point during the movie. Would Vin Diesel or Paul Walker really hit a girl? I hope not!
  • The final trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man will be playing before The Avengers. This makes sense since the newest trailer for The Dark Knight Rises will be premiering there too. I can't wait to see either trailer and movie, but i'm most excited for The Avengers opening this Friday!
  • The Wolverine, a.k.a. Wolverine 2, is planning to be shot in Japan and Australia. Japan is where they will be shooting the practical footage and Australia is where they will be shooting the staged footage. They have also announced that they might be shooting the movie in 3D. I honestly hope not! (I have still not seen a movie in the new type of 3D.) Filming can not start though until Hugh Jackman finishes with filming Les Misérables. The movie is still in line for a summer 2013 release.
  • Josh Trank has officially been confirmed by Sony that he will be directing the Fantastic Four reboot. This is good news, since Chronicle was such a huge success. I hope that he does the series and characters justice in this go around.
  • Top Gun 2 will be done before Mission: Impossible 5. Tom Cruise is attached to both projects, but now we know which one he will be doing first. For Top Gun 2, Jerry Bruckheimer is producing, Tony Scott is directing, and Peter Craig is writing the script.
  • Rise of the Planet of the Apes 2 will start production this summer, says Fox. Why? Why must they make another movie to an already good story. Do they really have to connect it to the Planet of the Apes series? I don't think so. It should serve as a stand alone movie! Why can't they just leave a good thing alone?
  • The Extended trailer for Prometheus has been release. Check it out below:

  • The trailer for This is 40 has been release. Check it out below:

(I seriously didn't know that Paul Rudd is 43 years old.)
  • Here are my predictions of what will happen in The Avengers. I have read nothing about the movie that will spoil it for me. I have read the basics on the characters and timeline of the movie. So here we go:
    • Somebody is going to steal the cosmic cube.
    • There is going to be a big fight between Loki and Hulk.
    • One of the Avengers is going to die.
    • The movie will be filled with action.
    • Something is going to change with Iron Man
    • There is going to be a cameo in the movie. I don't know by who.
    • They will have the movie end so that other movies can be made.
Thats what I think is going to happen. Now lets see if i'm right about any of it.

Stuff Kevin Likes...is the only news for today!!!

The Youtube Channel of the week is: kevinbrueck is a channel that was started by none other then Kevin Brueck. It is part sketch comedy, part stuff he likes, and part news. I used to watch this channel, but only find myself visiting it occasionally. He is pretty funny, but I just dont find time to watch his videos everyday. I really do hope you like his channel, because he is really talented.

Halo 4 looks pretty...Awesome!!!

The Video Game news for the week:
  • Conan O’Brien got to visit 343 Industries where they are making Halo 4. He got a behind the scenes look on what they were doing with the game. He also got to voice a character in the game. Check out the video below to know what i'm talking about:
  • There was a lawsuit filed against Ubisoft recently due to story similarities to John Beiswenger's book Link and the Assassin's Creed franchise. The similarities that are being talked about are historical and religious references, an Animus like device, and a  Abstergo like company. Fans quickly responded in the best way they could think of. They went over to Amazon.com and gave bad reviews to the book. You try and stop a company that has a large fan base and this is what you get.
  • Some awesome new screenshot from Halo 4 have been released. They showcase some new stuff including Armor, characters, and settings.Check them out below:
    New Armor
    Multiplayer Map
    Halo 4 Screenshots Forerunner Campaign
    Forerunner Campaign
    New Grunt
  • Trials Evolution set a huge record on the Xbox Live Arcade this past week. It was downloaded over 100,000 time in one day. It brought on over $1.5 Million in sales on its first day alone. The game being released is part of Microsoft's Arcade Next promotion, which will be releasing another game next week. If it is as popular as Trials Evolution, its gonna create major revenue for Microsoft.
  • Popular Youtuber FPS Russia and Activision wanted to show a new toy that will be showing up in the new Call of Duty game. Come check out the Quadrotor:

The new game has been confirmed to be Black Ops 2 by the games website. From what FPS Russia suggests, it may be a game based in the future.
  • The Gameplay trailer for Crysis 3 has been released. Check it out below:

  • Rocksteady is releasing Batman: Arkham City Game of the Year edition with something pretty cool. They are releasing a DLC titled Harley Quinn’s Revenge. In the DLC players to use Batman or Robin's unique combat and investigative skills to uncover Harley’s vengeful plan and shut the gates on the Arkham City forever. In addition to the news story line, players get to experience new environments and fight a new gang of thugs. Check out the trailer for it below:

The Game of the Year edition of the game releases on May 29th and will included the new DLC free of charge. If you already own a copy of the game, you can also purchase the DLC on that same day.

Britney Spears is replacing Paula Abdul!?

The Television news for the week:
  • Here are some more details on the Arrested Development show and movie:
    • The fourth Season will have 10 episodes and will lead up to the movie.
    • Each episode will be about a different member of the Bluth family. What they have been doing since we last saw them and what they are doing in the events leading up to the movie.
    • Netflix will be releasing the entire season at once to see how many total views they can get.
    • If this season does well, there might be another season coming.
  • Britney Spears is finalizing a deal so that she can become a Judge on Season 2 of The X Factor. After Paula Abdul was axed, they need to replace her with somebody. Simon Cowell says that they will be announcing a new judge by the end of next week. If Britney Spears takes the deal, she will be making $15 Million a season.
  • Bryan Fuller is thinking of developing a new Star Trek TV show. If it happens, it would take place after J.J. Abrams upcoming Star Trek Sequel. Which gives the show sometime to really work out the story. They are planning to make the show in the years 3000 and with a whole new Ship. The show is years away from production, but I will keep you updated as the story develops.
  • Season 2 of American Horror Story has a little bit of news. Ryan Murphy, the series' creator, has said that the show will be taking place at a institution for the criminally insane on the east coast that is being ran by Jessica Lange character. I still have not watched a single episode of the show and have no idea if I should get into the show.
Thanks for reading today's post, as always leave a comment down below about anything or the question of the day, which is:

QOTD: Should I start watching American Horror Story?

IMAX is better then 3D!!

As always, the Weekend Box Office Results:
  1. Think Like a Man
  2. The Lucky One
  3. The Hunger Games
  4. Chimpanzee
  5. The Three Stooges
On to the Movie news for the week:
  • There is a behind the scenes clip of The Avengers that is almost 20 minutes long. There is no dialog in the clip to keep from spoiling the movie. There is however some well chosen background music. Check out the clip below:

  • There is a set photo from Star Trek 2 that hit the web. It shows Spock in his Volcanic suit and nothing more then that. Check it out below:
Zachary Quinto Dons Spock's 'Volcano Suit' on the 'Star Trek 2' Set
  • The final posters for The Amazing Spider-Man have been released. They add a darker tone to the highly anticipated reboot. Check them out below:
Final 'The Amazing Spider-Man' Movie Poster The Amazing Spider-Man City Poster
  • Universal Pictures has announced that they will be working on a big screen reboot of The Rockford Files. There has not been many details released, but they have signed Vince Vaughn to play Jim Rockford. This role was originally played by James Garner in the TV Show. This could be a very good move or a very bad movie. It all depends on how Universal and Vince approach the movie.
  • There have been more behind the scenes images released of The Lone Ranger. They show Armie Hammer and Johnny Depp meeting with Navajo leaders. Check out the images below:
Navajo Nation Vice President Rex Lee Jim, Johnny Depp shakes hands with Navajo Nation President Ben Shelly (Lone Ranger) Navajo Nation Vice President Rex Lee Jim, Armie Hammer and Navajo Nation President Ben Shelly (Lone Ranger)
  • If you are planning to go see The Avengers Opening Night like I am, you are going to get a special treat. Warner Brothers has announced that they will be releasing a new trailer for The Dark Knight Rises before The Avengers. Thats a big announcement since The Dark Knight Rises might end up being the Movie of the Year and hopefully the Greatest Movie of All Time! I will make sure to post the trailer on the following Monday for the movie blog.
  • Guy Pearce has joined Iron Man 3 as Aldrich Killian, one of the creator of the Extremis technology. When the military pulls the funding for his project, Killian turns into a villain. The movie also has Ben Kingsley playing an undetermined villain. My guess still stand that he will play the Mandarin, even though Marvel still denies this.
  • Another set photo from Les Misérables have been released. This one shows Anne Hathaway & Hugh Jackman and it looks like they are singing:
Anne Hathaway and Hugh Jackman in Costume for 'Les Misérables'
  • Christopher Nolan says that over an hour of The Dark Knight Rises was shot in IMAX format. What does this mean you ask? This means that the movie will look better, feel real, and be a better movie. The IMAX shots in this movie are double the ones in The Dark Knight and Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol. I don't know about you, but I can't for the movie to hit theaters.

Tenth Avenue North: This is where the Healing Begins!

On Fridays I will be going to my iTunes and turning on shuffle and who ever is the artist of the song that plays will be the focus for this blog.
This weeks post is going to be about: Tenth Avenue North

Tenth Avenue North is a C
ontemporary Christian band and is very popular is the Christian music industry these days. I first got into them back at Winter Jam 2010. They were one of the acts that really got me to like Christian music again. They have a soft tone, but have a meaningful message in their songs. I own both of their studio albums, Over and Underneath and The Light Meets the Dark.

From what I hear they are working on another album called The Struggle and are planning to release it in August of this year. How did they know that was my birthday month?
In 2009 they were awarded the New Artist of the Year award at the GMA Dove Awards. They also won Song of the Year for By Your Side in 2010. They were also nominated for other awards that I thought they should have won.
Again I went to my iTunes to find out what song I listened to the most by them.

Here is my favorite song by them:

And that is how my iTunes found them while it was on Shuffle!

QOTD: Are you now a fan of the Tenth Avenue North?

The iPad Mini is small!

The Technology news for the week:
  • Here is what the 7.85 inch iPad Mini would look like: iPad-Mini-update-03-CiccareseDesign
It will have a dual core chip and 1024×768 display. It will be like the iPad 2, but smaller.
  • You heard about the Steve Jobs movie starring Ashton Kutcher, right? The good news is that it is not the one made by Sony. This version will cover Apple from 1971 all the way through 2000. The movie will be called Jobs: Get Inspired. It might be good, it all depends on how they approach it.
  • Google Drive is like Dropbox, but cooler. When it is released next week, most likely Tuesday or Wednesday, it will offer 5 GB of space compared to 2 GB that Dropbox offers. It will be just like Dropbox, but made by Google and larger storage capacity. I will atleast try it out, but I think I will stay with Dropbox for now.
  • The BUFF iPhone screen protector protects your iPhone from angry coffee mugs, hammers, and a brick. Don't believe me, check out the video below:

It cost anywhere from $20-$30 depending on the device you are buying it for.
  • The Youtube Channel of the week is: SourceFed
It is a news channel started by Phillip DeFranco and is about a lot of Pop Culture stuff. Its kind of like this blog, but in video form. I used to watch every episode, but found that the news they were talking about I have either already read or I already blogged about it. It is still a good channel and is worth checking out.

Apple wants Half-Life 3 NOW!!

The Gaming news for the week:
  • Apple CEO Tim Cook was spotted visiting Valve this week. There is no word on what he did there or what it was about. It could be anything from discussing a next generation console or maybe even getting some inside news on Half-Life 3. Maybe something about his visit will be released soon.
  • The characters from the popular online show, Red vs. Blue, have announced the release date of Halo 4. Halo 4 is set to release on November 6th of this year. The guys over at Rooster Teeth have been working with 343 Industries for a while now and this gave them a chance to announce a pretty big thing. This actually a pretty good date for this game to be released. Since I have already pre-ordered Assassin's Creed 3 and it comes out on October 30th of this year, it gives me time to beat it before Halo 4 is released.

  • The trailer for Bethesda new game Dishonored has been released. It looks good, but I might need more convincing before I buy it. The game follows Corvo who has been framed of assassinating the  Empress by Lord Regent. The game allows the player to manipulate the world around them while also being able to dart across rooftops, stealth assassinate targets, and use swordplay that allows you to slash enemies throats. Players also get to fire a hand mounted crossbow and cast some pretty powerful spells that allow you to break through windows and doors. To me it looks like a mixture of Assassin's Creed and Bioshock.

  • Here is a trailer for a Star Trek game that is being made:

There hasn't been too much news released about the game, but I can atleast tell you this. The game is supposed to be more like the Uncharted series then the Mass Effect series. The game will have a major co-op aspect and will allow players to play as Spock and Kirk. There is no information yet on how the single player campaign will go though.
Thanks for reading today's post, as always leave a comment down below about anything or the question of the day, which is:

QOTD: What is your opinion of Dishonored?

They're still on a mission from God!

The Television news for the week:
  • AMC wants to create a TV show around Robert Kirkman's newest comic series called Thief of Thieves. The series tells the story of Conrad Paulson. He is a master thief that goes by the name of Redmond. He is looking to continue his addiction of high-stakes thievery while trying to reconnect with his estranged wife and son at the same time. Conrad starts to steal from other thieves, but now the FBI is hot on his trail and his son is aching to follow in his father’s footsteps. Since I am a huge fan of The Walking Dead comic book series and TV show, I am also a huge fan of Robert Kirkman. I have not read this new comic book series, but from other peoples reviews it seems pretty good. I'm glad TV networks are starting to put on the good stuff.
  • Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson might be playing detectives in a new show called True Detectives. True Detectives is the story of  two Louisiana detectives named Martin Hart, played by  Woody Harrelson, and Rust Cohle, played by Matthew McConaughey, on the hunt for a serial killer that spans 17 years. The series will see the case begin in 1995 and continue through to present day. During that 17 years, the hunt of the murderer and their partnership leaves a huge mark on each man’s life. I am not a huge fan of these types of shows, but I am a big fan of Woody Harrelson. So that means I will at least watch the Pilot when it comes out.
  • Dan Aykroyd and Judy Belushi, the widow of John Belushi, are working on a Blues Brothers animated series. They are trying to modernize the series since it has been thirty years since the Blues Brothers have been very popular. If they try and modernize it too much, I do not plan on watching it. It will be a good thing if they do it right.
Thanks for reading today's post, as always leave a comment down below about anything or the question of the day, which is:

The Hunger Games is still #1!

The Weekend Box Office results:
  1. The Hunger Games
  2. The Three Stooges
  3. The Cabin in the Woods
  4. Titanic 3D
  5. American Reunion
The Movie news for the week:
  • Sir Ben Kingsley is set to play a villain in Iron Man 3. He will not be the main villain or the Mandarin like many people believed he would play. This would be yet another good role for him since he does well in the villainous roles in movies.
  • Here is a short film you may want to watch. It is really good for only being 5 minutes long. Check it out below:
  • The Avengers is already getting some good reviews from the early screenings of the movie. Here is some good stuff to get you even more hyped for the movie.
Here is a set visit video from Entertainment Tonight:

Here is a clip called Headcount:

Here is a clip with Captain America and Thor. They seem to be really starting to bond.

Those should hold you over a little longer.
  • Here is the trailer for the movie Looper I was talking about in last week's post:

  • Disney is officially eyeing the sequel for The Muppets to be released in 2013. It sounds good to me, but I am kind of sad that Jason Segel will not be back to co-write the sequel.
  • Paramount has set the release date for Darren Aronofsky’s Noah on March 28, 2014. The movie stars Russell Crowe as Noah and Liam Neeson as the villain.
  • Bill Murray has still not decided if he wants be in Ghostbusters 3 yet. There have been many reports that state he dislikes the idea of the movie and will not be in it. Recently  Bill has said the Ghostbusters 3 is not out of question yet. My hopes that he will come on and do the picture. I never experienced the movies in theater and would like to love this movie.

Coldplay: The group that steals music!

On Fridays I will be going to my iTunes and turning on shuffle and who ever is the artist of the song that plays will be the focus for this blog.
This weeks post is going to be about: Coldplay

Coldplay is an Alternative Rock group from London, England. They are one of the only modern British bands that I listen to. Their songs are good to listen to at home or at a concert when the whole crowd is singing along. I own my favorite parts of each of their albums. I own all of the songs on Mylo Xyloto album, which is their latest one. They released some Christmas songs and I own those too. I also own the vinyl of that album, because I preordered it. I was planning on seeing them in concert when they come to my town, but tickets are pretty expensive.

Coldplay has been caught stealing some songs lately. There has been a lawsuit filled agenst them because a songwritter says they stole some of his music. Sammie Lee Smith says he was the one that composed Yellow, Clocks, and Trouble. This was back in 2010, two years after Viva la Vida was released. Also in September 2009 Joe Satriani accused the Coldplay of stealing a lot of parts of his song If I Could Fly. They denied doing that too. There is also speculation that they stole the main chord design for Every Teardrop is a Waterfall from Peter Allen's I Go To Rio. Every Teardrop is a Waterfall is actually one of my favorite songs by them too. If they really stole from these artist I would be mad, but I would still listen to their music. I mean why not, they are a really good group that will continue to grow no matter what.

It took me a long time to make a final decision what my favorite song by them was, so then I just choose the one I listened to the most on iTunes.

Here is my favorite song by them:

And that is how my iTunes found them while it was on Shuffle!

Facebook wants you to pay to use Instagram!

The Technology news for the week:
  • Instagram is bought by Facebook for $1 Billion. What does this mean? Instagram will still be working on its own as the most popular image social network, but will be integrated into Facebook. This will allow users to use Instagram to in Facebook and do cool stuff with their pictures and such. Here is an info graphic about the History of Instagram up to it being bought by Facebook:
    InstagramFromZerotoaBillion_4f84a1f86f668

  • The Youtube channel of the week is: DudeLikeHELLA
He is a vlogger that does some crazy stuff sometimes. He just finished the Golds Gym Challenge and has decided to start wrestling. He is all known by the name Mr. Safety and is the man behind TheMeanKitty videos and SMPFilms videos. Go ahead and check him out, he is pretty funny.

Joel McHale kicks a guy in the balls for Nintendo!

The Video Game news for the week:
  • Sony's Smash Bros ripoff is called PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale and will be revealed during E3 this year. There is only one confirmation on who will be a character in it, Sweet Tooth from Twisted Metal. Gamers are hoping for Nathan Drake from the Uncharted series and Kratos from the God of War series. I guess they will have to wait till the reveal at E3 later this year.

  • The logo for Black Ops 2 has been released. It also teases to when the game trailer will be released. Check it out below: Call of Duty Black Ops 2 Logo
If this is right, be expecting the trailer on here when it is released.

  • Nintendo hires Joel McHale to do a commerical for the 3DS and this is what they got:

It made me laugh and I liked it, but I still won't buy it.

  • There are lists out on the web of the most anticipated games to be released this year.
Here is the list of the most anticipated Xbox 360 titles: Nielsen Most Anticipated 2012 360
  • A lot of Screen shots from Halo 4 have been released. Since 18 screen shots wont fit on this blog here is a link to a website that has all 18: All Games Beta
Here is some more details about what the game will offer:
    • Spartan Ops will pit you and 3 other players against enemy forces in the game.
    • A new multiplayer game mode called Regicide has been announced. Players will fight against each other, with the top player being called the King. For every kill that the King gets, their bounty will go up. This makes their death worth a pretty penny for anyone who kills him.

From 'The Office' to 'The Farm'

The Television show news for the week:
  • Paul Lieberstein's character Toby Flenderson might be leaving The Office soon. Paul announced that he might be leaving and The Office and heading to The Farm, the  potential Dwight-centered spin off. Paul is currently head of the writing staff and a co-producer of The Office and plays the role of Toby, the soft-spoken HR rep. In an upcoming episode of The Office, the spin off will be tested out to see how fans will take it. If it is as good as it sounds, fans might like it and it will become a show. The Farm then make a mid season 2013 debut. They have to do something soon if they are going to save The Office.  James Spader and Mindy Kaling will not be back next season. Ed Helms, John Krasinski and Jenna Fischer are still waiting to find out if they will have a job next season.
  • Netflix acquires the streaming rights to BBC's soccer drama titled United. The drama stars David Tennant as Coach Jimmy Murphy, who is in who is charge of rebuilding the broken team.  United is a 90 minute telefilm that tells the tragic story of British European Airways Flight 609. That flight crashed in Munich on February 6, 1958 following takeoff. The crash killed eight of Manchester United’s football stars. It also left two players so badly injured they never played again. Sounds like a good move for Netflix since it does have David Tennant, but I would have to see it before I could judge it to much.
  • Felicia Day will be making a guest appearance on the popular TV show Supernatural as a Computer Hacker.  She will play a low-level computer tech at one of Dick Roman’s companies whose amateur computer hacking gets her in trouble with the Winchester brothers. Dick Roman plays this season’s primary antagonist, if you didn't know this already. The episode is humorously titled The Girl With the Dungeons and Dragons Tattoo and will come out April 27th.

Avatar 2 probably will suck!

As always, the Weekend Box Office results:
  1. The Hunger Games
  2. American Reunion
  3. Titanic 3D
  4. Wrath of the Titans
  5. Mirror Mirror
Now for the Movie news of the week:
  • A clip has been released from The Avengers and it completely revolves around Black Widow. Check it out below:

  • A featurette for the Total Recall remake has been released.Check it out below:

  • Arnold Schwarzenegger actually wants to do Triplets. If Danny DeVito and Eddie Murphy say that they want to do the movie, it will happen. I honestly dont think this is a good idea. The original was done so long ago that its better to remake it instead of making a sequel to a movie that this generation has not seen and most like will not want to see.
  • Liam Neeson is on talks to do a movie called Non-Stop. He would play a warn out Air Marshall who faces a threat on an International flight. Sound like a good role for him, but he is really starting to get old. His 60th birthday is just around the corner and the next movie that he is in is about to be released in a few months (Battleship then The Dark Knight Rises.) He is also set to work on Taken 2.
  • Avatar 2 most likely will not be ready by its release date. A Producer for the movie discusses that the sequel will need more time then the 2014 release date. He says they want to make it and want to make it right. He says " Movies make release dates; release dates don’t make movies." I honestly hope that they do not do a sequel to this movie. The first one was good, why mess it up by making a sequel.

  • Captain America 2 has a release date of  April 4, 2014. It will pick up where his story leaves of in The Avengers. It will be about him still working with  S.H.I.E.L.D and Nick Fury and him still getting accustom with the modern day world.

  • X-Men: First Class 2 will start production in January of 2013 so that there is no conflict with Jennifer Lawrence and the Hunger Games sequel. They hope to release the movie in the Summer of 2014.

  • Steven Seagal was offered a role in The Expendables 3. They tried to get him for The Expendables, he wouldn't be apart of The Expendables 2, what makes you think he wants to be apart of The Expendables 3?

  • The Dark Knight Rises gets a PG-13 rating and i'm glad about that. It allows the movie to be open to a larger audience and get more ticket sales. If you are like me, you can;t wait for this movie to be released.

  • With Gary Ross out of the director's chair for Catching Fire, The Hunger Games sequel, a search has started for his replacement. One of my choices of his replacement would be Patty Jenkins, who directed shows like Arrested Development, Entourage and The Killing and the movie Monster. My other choice would be  Rupert Wyatt, who directed Rise of the Planet of the Apes. Both would be good choices in my opinion, but its not my decision to make. UPDATE: Gary Ross is still in talks to direct Catching Fire.

  • The first 5 minutes of the movie Lockout has been released. Check it out below:

I still see Guy Pearce as playing Snake Plissken in Space.

  • A trailer preview for the movie Looper has been released. Check it out below:

The movie is about a a hitman that goes back in time to be killed by his younger self. When his younger self doesn't kill him, the mob send a hit squad back in time to kill both versions of the hitman. When the two versions of the same hitman start to interact things start to change in unpredictable ways. I dont know about the movie, but I will at least watch the trailer when it is released.

U2: The Band that will change the World!

On Fridays I will be going to my iTunes and turning on shuffle and who ever is the artist of the song that plays will be the focus for this blog.
This weeks post is going to be about: U2.
U2 is becoming more and more popular each day. With their political affiliation and their activism they are popular even outside of their music. I first got into them when I got a hold of a copy of their Joshua Tree album. When I listened to the album I got kind of a christian vibe coming from it and I liked it. The lead singer Bono is a born again Christian and makes sure he has a prayer meeting before every concert.

Their sound to me is soft, but meaning full. I only own one album from them, Joshua Tree, and I really do love it. I actually here that Joshua Tree is not their greatest album. On a Top 10 list that they rate Joshua Tree third. Above it is War and Achtung Baby. At some point I will end up getting these two albums just not right now. Rolling Stone magazine has ranked U2 at the number 22 spot in the list of the 100 Greatest Artists of All Time. They have won 22 Grammy Awards and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2005.
Here is my favorite song by them:

And that is how my iTunes found them while it was on Shuffle!

Tim Cook is better then Steve Jobs?!

The Technology news for the week:
  • Tim Cook is more popular then Steve Jobs ever was. Glassdoor is a website that provides employer reviews for the Top Tech CEOs. Tim Cook has a 97% approval rating and Steve Jobs had a 95% approval rating. Here are the approval ratings of the Top 10 Highest Rated Tech CEOs:

  • Google's Project Glass seems cool, but I'm not to sure about it yet. Check out the video about it below:

It just seems weird to me wearing an electronic pair of glasses that overlays your vision. What about people who wear glasses, how are they going to use this? Just think how weird you will look if you happen to be the one testing this on the streets. I guess I would have to get a hands on test before I can hate/like it to much.
  • If you are having problems with your iPad 3G connecting to Wi-Fi, Apple will gladly replace it. Here is what Apple sent to 9to5Mac.com:
    9to5mac
All you have to do is send a report to Apple stating that you are having problems with your iPad 3G's Wi-Fi and they will help you out from there.

Since there has been barley any news that has been posted on the Thursday blog post, I have decided to add something. I was originally going to start this new part as a Saturday post, but didn't want to throw a wrench into the mix. So starting from here on out I will be adding a link to one of my favorite YouTube channels on every Thursday/Technology post. It will kind of serve as the YouTuber of the Week kind of thing. So the first YouTube Channel I will choose is:

If you ever remember the Greatest Freak out ever videos, here is the collection of all those videos. Go ahead and check them out and tell me what you think.

8-bit Google Maps for NES?!

The Video Game news for the week:
  • Rumor: The PS4 will be called Orbis and will be out Holiday season of 2013. Again like the PS3, Orbis will not be backwards compatible.

  • Assassin's Creed 3 news:
    • Ubisoft considered having a female assassin in Assassin's Creed 3, but in the end chose a male one.
    • Ubisoft says that they are developing the PC version to be playable with a controller.
    • The game will have a completely revamped control Scheme.
    • Ubisoft hired a Native American consultant so that they could make sure the game was historically accurate.
    • The game will also feature more Desmond Miles then any other Assassin's Creed game.
  • Rumor: The new Xbox that will be released late 2013 might be the Xbox Lite. Its will be the same Xbox experience, but wont be a next generation console. It will cost about $100 and is suppose to hold gamers over until Microsoft is ready to release the next generation of the Xbox.

  • 343 Industries teases a multiplayer map for Halo 4 with some concept art. Check it out below:

  • If you didn't happen to use Google Maps on April 1st, you missed something pretty cool. Google took Google Maps and converted it into an 8-bit version. It was a funny flash back and made me laugh. Check out the commercial for it:

  • Rumor: Apple might be working on a physical controller for for their iOS devices. This might happen due to Apple wants more hardcore gamers for their devices. Since the Apple stills holds the ownership of the of the #1 mobile gaming device. They also might be working on their own gaming console.
  • There is video out there of Kinect Star Wars where Han Solo dances to a song called Han Solo. I watched and my whole body ached. It like trying to watch the Star Wars prequels with out wanting to hate George Lucas. If you really want to see it, you can find it on the internet some where.

  • If you havent heard about Mari0 then you havent been on the internet in the last year. Its a crossover of Super Mario Brothers and Portal. If it doesn't sound cool, here is some test gameplay footage of single player mode that you will like.

Head over to this link to download the free game: Mari0

Hannibal, Coming to a TV near you!!

The Television news for the week:
  • Netflix decides not to pick up Terra Nova from Fox. Smart business move there. The show cost over $4 Million an episode to make. It was expensive and wasn't a fan favorite. Fox still has the cast and crew under contract so who knows what will be done with the show. There is still no word whether Netflix will be purchasing The River from Fox. My hopes are that they would so they can give the show a chance to reach its full potential.
  • Bryan Fuller, creator of Pushing Daisies and Dead Like Me,  is working on a series about Hannibal, Thomas Harris iconic serial killer. It is planned to take place in between the movies Hannibal Rising and Red DragonBryan Fuller is also the one behind the reboot of The Munsters TV series.  Channels are being cautious with Hannibal, they are only putting in an order for 13 episodes. Not to much news is out the show since it is in the first stages of being made.
  • Here is a trailer for a new show coming to HBO called The Newsroom. It features Jeff Daniels as Will McAvoy, a news anchor who has an on-air meltdown and jeopardizes his career and future. Check out the trailer below:
