Lose the beard Ashton!

The Technology news for the week:
  • Here is Ashton Kutcher dressed up like Steve Jobs for the upcoming Biopic:
I think he really needs to lose the beard or get a hair cut. That doesn't look like Steve Jobs at any age.
  • A group of people created concept images based on all of the iPhone 5 reports and rumors. These are by far the coolest concept images I have seen so far. Check them out below:

  • Google Chrome is reportedly coming out for iOS with in the next few weeks. Since Firefox is starting to take a nose dive and Google Chrome is now the Top browser. I'm happy it making it way to iOS. I liked Safari until Dolphin came along and now it would be nice to have my Google Chrome bookmarks available on a mobile device. If it passes Apple's inspection, which it should, it should be here soon. I will keep you updated on this story when new information is available.

And now for the Youtube Channel of the Week, which is: Rooster Teeth

Rooster Teeth are pretty famous content creators of the Halo world. They created the online show called Red vs. Blue. I posted one of their creations in a recent blog where they announced the Halo 4 release date.  They also post achievement guides and funny things to do in games. I hope you like them as much as I do! Here is the most recent video by them:

Thanks for reading today's post, as always leave a comment down below about anything or the question of the day, which is:

QOTD: What do you think of Rooster Teeth?

The iPad Mini is small!

The Technology news for the week:
  • Here is what the 7.85 inch iPad Mini would look like: iPad-Mini-update-03-CiccareseDesign
It will have a dual core chip and 1024×768 display. It will be like the iPad 2, but smaller.
  • You heard about the Steve Jobs movie starring Ashton Kutcher, right? The good news is that it is not the one made by Sony. This version will cover Apple from 1971 all the way through 2000. The movie will be called Jobs: Get Inspired. It might be good, it all depends on how they approach it.
  • Google Drive is like Dropbox, but cooler. When it is released next week, most likely Tuesday or Wednesday, it will offer 5 GB of space compared to 2 GB that Dropbox offers. It will be just like Dropbox, but made by Google and larger storage capacity. I will atleast try it out, but I think I will stay with Dropbox for now.
  • The BUFF iPhone screen protector protects your iPhone from angry coffee mugs, hammers, and a brick. Don't believe me, check out the video below:

It cost anywhere from $20-$30 depending on the device you are buying it for.
  • The Youtube Channel of the week is: SourceFed
It is a news channel started by Phillip DeFranco and is about a lot of Pop Culture stuff. Its kind of like this blog, but in video form. I used to watch every episode, but found that the news they were talking about I have either already read or I already blogged about it. It is still a good channel and is worth checking out.

Tim Cook is better then Steve Jobs?!

The Technology news for the week:
  • Tim Cook is more popular then Steve Jobs ever was. Glassdoor is a website that provides employer reviews for the Top Tech CEOs. Tim Cook has a 97% approval rating and Steve Jobs had a 95% approval rating. Here are the approval ratings of the Top 10 Highest Rated Tech CEOs:
    image003

  • Google's Project Glass seems cool, but I'm not to sure about it yet. Check out the video about it below:

It just seems weird to me wearing an electronic pair of glasses that overlays your vision. What about people who wear glasses, how are they going to use this? Just think how weird you will look if you happen to be the one testing this on the streets. I guess I would have to get a hands on test before I can hate/like it to much.
  • If you are having problems with your iPad 3G connecting to Wi-Fi, Apple will gladly replace it. Here is what Apple sent to 9to5Mac.com:
    9to5mac
All you have to do is send a report to Apple stating that you are having problems with your iPad 3G's Wi-Fi and they will help you out from there.

Since there has been barley any news that has been posted on the Thursday blog post, I have decided to add something. I was originally going to start this new part as a Saturday post, but didn't want to throw a wrench into the mix. So starting from here on out I will be adding a link to one of my favorite YouTube channels on every Thursday/Technology post. It will kind of serve as the YouTuber of the Week kind of thing. So the first YouTube Channel I will choose is:

wafflepwn
If you ever remember the Greatest Freak out ever videos, here is the collection of all those videos. Go ahead and check them out and tell me what you think.

Windows 8 is going to suck like Vista!

The Technology news for the week:

  • The logo for Windows 8 has been released. I'm not even going to start my rant on how much this is going to be like Vista! Check out the logo below:
    Windows 8 Metro logo

    • The iPad 3 will have a Retina Display screen and will support 2048×1536 Pixel Resolution. This is not a rumor and has been confirmed by Apple.

    • Rumor: The iPad 3 may be getting a rear 8 Megapixel camera.
    • Rumor: Apple is set to revamp iTunes and the App Store later on this year.
    • Microsoft Office is coming to iPad. Better late then never!
    • Norton just got a little more creepy. Norton Safety Minder keeps an eye on your child's Texts, websites, apps, and much more. I dont understand this, I wouldn't buy this for my children. Its just another way that parents can control their kids lives. It also takes away any privacy that they have. And if you are buying it for younger kids, why do your kids even have Smartphones. I didn't get my first phone until I was in the 8th grade. And I had to pay for everything for it.There are screenshot of it being set up for a 9 year old! Are you freaking kidding me!? I am 19 and I still dont even have a smartphone!

      Food, Hot Girls, and Technology

      Today's bit of Technology News:
      • The iPhone 4S and iPad 2 now are able to be jailbroken. After 2 longs months of waiting for a jailbroken iPhone 4S it is now here. The wonderful tool is called Absinthe and is available for Mac, Windows, and Linux. Here is a link to a video tutorial: iPhone 4S/ iPad 2 iOS 5.0.1 JAILBREAK - GreenPois0n Absinthe
      • The White House Google+ profile and is planning a hangout on the 30th of January. Over 37 thousand people have the page in there circles. Maybe this is why there are very few people on Google+ right now? I created a new circle just for them and don't you dare ask what I named it!
      • Evi for iOS is a good Siri substitute if you do not have an iPhone 4S. It is very helpful for finding places in your area and it only costs 99 cents. The only bad thing is that it is not fully integrated into your iOS device like Siri is.
      • Siri spoof and Hot Girls in a Doritos commercial. Check it out here: Doritos® - Hot Wild Girls -- Crash the Super Bowl 2012 Finalist
