Seriously though, I have a Blog?!

The Television news for the week:
  • There is only one piece of news today and I wouldn't consider it news. HBO has released the first episode of their series called The Newsroom onto YouTube. They are actually smart for doing this since most of the worlds population lives on YouTube. I would Embed the episode into this post, but HBO has disabled the option to Embed. Here is the link to the episode on YouTube: The Newsroom
I watched the whole episode yesterday (that was why the blog was up late) and I absolutely loved it. I hope you people love it too.

The Newsroom airs on HBO at 10 PM on Sundays.
Don't forget about my Twitter Contest to win Tickets to see The Dark Knight Rises! If I get 1000 Twitter followers by July 20th, 10 lucky people will receive tickets to see The Dark Knight Rises at any showing of their choice. My Twitter link is: @JoshuaDVincent

Thanks for reading today's post, as always leave a comment down below about anything or the question of the day, which is:

QOTD: What did you think of the first episode?

"I have a blog?!"

The Television news for the week:
  • Here is the poster for Aaron Sorkin’s new drama for HBO called The Newsroom:
Jeff Daniels The Newsroom Poster HBO
If you remember seeing the first trailer before where Jeff Daniel's character goes on a rant during an interview, HBO has released the second trailer. I'll post it in the trailer section of this post.
  • For the fans of The Walking Dead, here is some behind the scenes footage of Season 3:

    A released picture of Michonne:
Walking Dead Season 3 Michonne played by Danai Gurira
  • Lifetime is in talks to develop a TV seires based off  Clarice Starling from the Hannibal movie franchise. The series will be about what happens after Clarice's first experience with Hannibal Lecter and when she graduates FBI academy. The series will bridge the gap between The Silence of the Lambs movie and the Hannibal movie. The series will be about how she handles everyday life as a federal officer and her butting head with  Department of Justice official Paul Krendler. Lifetime happened to get a hold of this series because it happens to have a strong female lead in it.

Jon Hamm is an old Daniel Radcliffe!

The Television news for the week:
  • Daniel Radcliffe will play a younger version of Jon Hamm in a four-part British television miniseries. The miniseries is about a young Russian doctor during the post World War 1 era, played by Daniel Radcliffe, that tries to overcome his shakiness and self-doubt. Jon Hamm will play the narrator and will occasionally interact with his younger self. The series will have a sort of  darkly humorous tone. I think it would be funny to hear Daniel Radcliffe and Jon Hamm with an Russian accent.
  • Supernatural has been renewed for another season and man am I happy. But I also heard that it may be the shows last season. With many fans complaining about the 7th seasons main nemesis, the Leviathans, not being the main story, fans that have been watching the show for years have been walking away from the show. I liked this season so far, it is what a series like this needs. The show has been around for seven seasons. They have the slow the show down or they will over achieve on some episodes and royally suck on others. After season 8 Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles will have to resign their contracts. If season 7 finshes well and season 8 is very good, then I believe that they will sign contracts for 2 more seasons. At that point they need to bring the show to a close so that the show doesn't get to crazy. That's just what I think.
  • Remember that TV Show I was talking about back in this blog called True Detectives, well HBO has just decided to pick it up. True Detectives is the story of two Louisiana detectives named Martin Hart, played by Woody Harrelson, and Rust Cohle, played by Matthew McConaughey, on the hunt for a serial killer that spans 17 years. With HBO deciding to put out amazing content, like Boardwalk Empire and Band of Brothers, I think this could turn out well. I will still wait on making my own decisions about the series until I see the Pilot.
  • Robert Kirkman is super excited for Season 3 of The Walking Dead. Season 3 is currently under production and will be for a few months. Robert talks about many things he is excited for in th upcoming season, such as:
    • Bringing the Comic Book alive like never before.
    • The story line of the prison,  Michonne, and the Governor.
    • Michonne will be hacking some zombies.
    • Season 3 has is set for 16 episodes. over twice the amount that season 1 had.
    • Season 3 premieres on AMC this October.
  • Since today's blog is kind of short and I know you guys want my review of The Avengers, I am willing to make a deal. If the blog gets 75 total views today, I will post my review of The Avengers. I may even give something away. So, GET STARTED!!!

Hannibal, Coming to a TV near you!!

The Television news for the week:
  • Netflix decides not to pick up Terra Nova from Fox. Smart business move there. The show cost over $4 Million an episode to make. It was expensive and wasn't a fan favorite. Fox still has the cast and crew under contract so who knows what will be done with the show. There is still no word whether Netflix will be purchasing The River from Fox. My hopes are that they would so they can give the show a chance to reach its full potential.
  • Bryan Fuller, creator of Pushing Daisies and Dead Like Me,  is working on a series about Hannibal, Thomas Harris iconic serial killer. It is planned to take place in between the movies Hannibal Rising and Red DragonBryan Fuller is also the one behind the reboot of The Munsters TV series.  Channels are being cautious with Hannibal, they are only putting in an order for 13 episodes. Not to much news is out the show since it is in the first stages of being made.
  • Here is a trailer for a new show coming to HBO called The Newsroom. It features Jeff Daniels as Will McAvoy, a news anchor who has an on-air meltdown and jeopardizes his career and future. Check out the trailer below:

Don Draper for President!!!

The Television news for the week:
  • Netflix is in talks with ABC to purchase The River. The River to me is a good show and I don't understand why the Paranormal Activity franchise is good, but not The River. I like that Netflix is trying to acquire shows that may otherwise not be released. With Netflix already bring Arrested Development back and taking over Terra Nova, this a good move for them. I hope the deal goes through.
  • The cost of Don Draper in today's society. This little info graphic about the famous Mad Men character and how much it would cost in today's world to still be the Don Draper from 1962. Check it out below:

  • More details about the Smallville Season 11 Comic book has been released. Here are some things you need to know about it:
    • There will be more Superman then Clark Kent
    • It will be kind of like Superman: Year One with the Smallville cast
    • Chloe and Oliver are married. they want to move to Star City, but cant because of something that happens in the first 12 weeks of their marriage. Maybe a Baby? Maybe more of saving the world?
    • Will have a lot of DC character guest stars just like the show had.
    • Comes out as a digital comic in April and in print in June
    • Here are the covers of the first 2 issues:
    • Issue #1:
      Smallville Season 11 - Issue 1
    • Issue #2
      Smallville Season 11 - Issue 2
  • A new trailer for Season 2 of Game of Thrones has been released. Check it out below:

They also released TV spots that wants fans to pledge their allegiance to their favorite noble house of Westeros. I would have posted them here, but there are 5 different TV spots and I didn't think you guys wanted a post filled with 6 videos and barley anything else. They are all on HBO's website if you want to see them.

QOTD: Which N
oble House of Westeros are you pledging your allegiance to?

Very slow day!

There isn't too many things to talk about today, but there is still something to be said.
  • Phineas and Ferb just got renewed for a fourth season and a winter vacation special. Shows not to be released until late 2013.
  • New Episodes of  'Arrested Development' will be on Netflix in 2013. Finally Netflix does something smart!
  • HBO planning to do a TV series about Doc Holliday. You know, the famous western gunslinger/dentist.
  • NBC wants to reboot 'The Munsters', but make it darker and edgier. Looks like there are more and more horror shows coming out each year.
Thats all the news I have for today. If you want, you can leave a comment down below about the question ot the day or anything.

QOTD: Whats your favorite TV Show/s?
