"Oh goodness, look at my wrist, I have to go."

The television news for the week:
  • The CW is in talks to create a Battle Royal TV series. Battle Royal is what I like to call the Japanese version of The Hunger Games. This news is dropping from the LA Times and they say that the CW is talking with Hollywood reps behind closed doors about launching the English language version properly. Could the series get the green light and  Koushun Takami's approval?
Just image this being on TV:
    Battle Royale Controversy
  • It looks like Anger Management is getting picked up for 90 more episodes. FX president John Landgraf has been hinting this after the success of the first season's ratings. Also Papa Sheen, Martin Sheen, will have a reoccurring role on the show as Charlie Sheen's character's father. I have not seen the show yet, but I hear good things.
  • Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog is set to premier on the CW this October. If you havent heard of it, it is the brainchild of Joss Whedon and was created due to the 2007-2008 writers strike. It tells the story of an aspiring supervillain named Dr. Horrible, played by Neil Patrick Harris and his heroic yet cocky nemesis, Captain Hammer, played by Nathan Fillion. Its a battle for the heart of the woman they both love, Penny, played by Felicia Day. Keep an eye out for it on Tuesday, October 9 at 9 p.m.
  • Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles have signed on to continue their roles as Sam and Dean for 2 more seasons. The hopes are high for the show now that Jeremy Carver is the show runner. But with the show now going into production of 2 more seasons, will the 10th season be the end of the series?
  • The Incredible Hulk TV show ready to start production, but still needs a writter. The series will be done by Guillermo del Toro and will be for ABC.

Jon Hamm is an old Daniel Radcliffe!

The Television news for the week:
  • Daniel Radcliffe will play a younger version of Jon Hamm in a four-part British television miniseries. The miniseries is about a young Russian doctor during the post World War 1 era, played by Daniel Radcliffe, that tries to overcome his shakiness and self-doubt. Jon Hamm will play the narrator and will occasionally interact with his younger self. The series will have a sort of  darkly humorous tone. I think it would be funny to hear Daniel Radcliffe and Jon Hamm with an Russian accent.
  • Supernatural has been renewed for another season and man am I happy. But I also heard that it may be the shows last season. With many fans complaining about the 7th seasons main nemesis, the Leviathans, not being the main story, fans that have been watching the show for years have been walking away from the show. I liked this season so far, it is what a series like this needs. The show has been around for seven seasons. They have the slow the show down or they will over achieve on some episodes and royally suck on others. After season 8 Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles will have to resign their contracts. If season 7 finshes well and season 8 is very good, then I believe that they will sign contracts for 2 more seasons. At that point they need to bring the show to a close so that the show doesn't get to crazy. That's just what I think.
  • Remember that TV Show I was talking about back in this blog called True Detectives, well HBO has just decided to pick it up. True Detectives is the story of two Louisiana detectives named Martin Hart, played by Woody Harrelson, and Rust Cohle, played by Matthew McConaughey, on the hunt for a serial killer that spans 17 years. With HBO deciding to put out amazing content, like Boardwalk Empire and Band of Brothers, I think this could turn out well. I will still wait on making my own decisions about the series until I see the Pilot.
  • Robert Kirkman is super excited for Season 3 of The Walking Dead. Season 3 is currently under production and will be for a few months. Robert talks about many things he is excited for in th upcoming season, such as:
    • Bringing the Comic Book alive like never before.
    • The story line of the prison,  Michonne, and the Governor.
    • Michonne will be hacking some zombies.
    • Season 3 has is set for 16 episodes. over twice the amount that season 1 had.
    • Season 3 premieres on AMC this October.
  • Since today's blog is kind of short and I know you guys want my review of The Avengers, I am willing to make a deal. If the blog gets 75 total views today, I will post my review of The Avengers. I may even give something away. So, GET STARTED!!!

From 'The Office' to 'The Farm'

The Television show news for the week:
  • Paul Lieberstein's character Toby Flenderson might be leaving The Office soon. Paul announced that he might be leaving and The Office and heading to The Farm, the  potential Dwight-centered spin off. Paul is currently head of the writing staff and a co-producer of The Office and plays the role of Toby, the soft-spoken HR rep. In an upcoming episode of The Office, the spin off will be tested out to see how fans will take it. If it is as good as it sounds, fans might like it and it will become a show. The Farm then make a mid season 2013 debut. They have to do something soon if they are going to save The Office.  James Spader and Mindy Kaling will not be back next season. Ed Helms, John Krasinski and Jenna Fischer are still waiting to find out if they will have a job next season.
  • Netflix acquires the streaming rights to BBC's soccer drama titled United. The drama stars David Tennant as Coach Jimmy Murphy, who is in who is charge of rebuilding the broken team.  United is a 90 minute telefilm that tells the tragic story of British European Airways Flight 609. That flight crashed in Munich on February 6, 1958 following takeoff. The crash killed eight of Manchester United’s football stars. It also left two players so badly injured they never played again. Sounds like a good move for Netflix since it does have David Tennant, but I would have to see it before I could judge it to much.
  • Felicia Day will be making a guest appearance on the popular TV show Supernatural as a Computer Hacker.  She will play a low-level computer tech at one of Dick Roman’s companies whose amateur computer hacking gets her in trouble with the Winchester brothers. Dick Roman plays this season’s primary antagonist, if you didn't know this already. The episode is humorously titled The Girl With the Dungeons and Dragons Tattoo and will come out April 27th.

Thank You to the Loyal Fans!!

The Television news for the week:
  • Monk is returning to TV, but this time it will be a TV Movie. Yep, thats exactly what I said. The TV movie will be called: Mr. Monk for Mayor. If you cant get the plot from that, then you have some issues. If you are like me, then you have been waiting for this for a pretty long time. I watched the show all the time and I want to know what happens next in Adrian Monk's life. It is set to air on USA in December and they are already talking about sequel to it.
  • Community returns to NBC on March 15th and will take it usual Thursday nights at 8PM time slot. The loyal fans have done it again. The only problem I have with this is now that I am a fan of The Big Bang Theory, it is going to be hard to choose which one to watch. Looks like right now it will be Community!
  • The Last Airbender: Legend of Korra series is actually going to happen. Here is the trailer to  Nickelodeon's series, Avatar: The Last Airbender:

(I think they are trying to clean up the mess that the live action movie brought to the series.)
  • FINALLY!!! The role of The Governor has been cast and has been given to British actor, David Morrissey. Season 3 has already been signed for 16 episodes. Filming will start soon and I was hoping that they would have cast the role of  Michonne already. Unless she will not be in Season 3.
  • James Spader will be leaving The Office at the end of the 8th season. Could this mean that The Office will be closing down soon? Unless that can bring in a new leader, I dont think it will be around much longer. It will be sad to watch the show go off the air, but it is nice to put a dying show to rest. But dont forget about  the Dwight Schrute spin-off where he runs his families Bed and Breakfast.
  • CBS's Elementary Series has taken a turn for the worst.  Johnny Lee Miller could play a good Sherlock, but  Lucy Liu as Watson? Its like having Wonder Women played by a man! It can not be successfully done. Arthur Conan Doyle is rolling over in his grave right now. I would rather watch BBC's Sherlock series then watch this. I may end up doing that anyways.

  • Dragons: The Series looks like a good show for kids. I saw the movie, but dont plan on seeing the show. I just hope the original cast is back in it.
  • Here is a list of TV Shows I have been watching in Marathon format lately:
    • Scrubs
    • The Office
    • The Walking Dead
    • The Big Gang Theory
    • Mad Men
    • Psych
    • Community
    • Supernatural
    • Eureka
    • How I Met Your Mother
    • 24
    • Arrested Development
    • Sons of Guns
    • The Colony
    • Being Human US Version
    • Surviving The Cut
    • Spiderman
    • The A-Team
    • America: The Story of Us
  • As you guys can tell, I have no life and I love Netflix Instant Streaming! I wish I could get a partnership with them.
