Jeremy Camp: I Still Believe!

On Fridays I will be going to my iTunes and turning on shuffle and who ever is the artist of the song that plays will be the focus for this blog.
This weeks post is going to be about: Jeremy Camp
Jeremy Camp is an amazing Christian artist. I have been a major fan of his for a few years now. I first learned about him when I saw him when he was on tour with Newsboys. That was back when they were promoting their album Adoration. It took me a couple weeks after that to purchase my first album by him and i'm glad I did. He is a very inspirational person and an amazing singer!
He released a book in the last year about his life leading up to his music career. In it he talks about he got though his wife's death and how God helped him in times of need. It also talks about his early life as a poor preacher's kid in Indiana. I like his music so much, its soft and loud at needed time. I am only lacking one album by him that was distributed independently. I am hoping to find it soon so that I can complete my collection.
Here is my all time favorite song by him:

And that is how my iTunes found them while it was on Shuffle!

Tenth Avenue North: This is where the Healing Begins!

On Fridays I will be going to my iTunes and turning on shuffle and who ever is the artist of the song that plays will be the focus for this blog.
This weeks post is going to be about: Tenth Avenue North

Tenth Avenue North is a C
ontemporary Christian band and is very popular is the Christian music industry these days. I first got into them back at Winter Jam 2010. They were one of the acts that really got me to like Christian music again. They have a soft tone, but have a meaningful message in their songs. I own both of their studio albums, Over and Underneath and The Light Meets the Dark.

From what I hear they are working on another album called The Struggle and are planning to release it in August of this year. How did they know that was my birthday month?
In 2009 they were awarded the New Artist of the Year award at the GMA Dove Awards. They also won Song of the Year for By Your Side in 2010. They were also nominated for other awards that I thought they should have won.
Again I went to my iTunes to find out what song I listened to the most by them.

Here is my favorite song by them:

U2: The Band that will change the World!

On Fridays I will be going to my iTunes and turning on shuffle and who ever is the artist of the song that plays will be the focus for this blog.
This weeks post is going to be about: U2.
U2 is becoming more and more popular each day. With their political affiliation and their activism they are popular even outside of their music. I first got into them when I got a hold of a copy of their Joshua Tree album. When I listened to the album I got kind of a christian vibe coming from it and I liked it. The lead singer Bono is a born again Christian and makes sure he has a prayer meeting before every concert.

Their sound to me is soft, but meaning full. I only own one album from them, Joshua Tree, and I really do love it. I actually here that Joshua Tree is not their greatest album. On a Top 10 list that they rate Joshua Tree third. Above it is War and Achtung Baby. At some point I will end up getting these two albums just not right now. Rolling Stone magazine has ranked U2 at the number 22 spot in the list of the 100 Greatest Artists of All Time. They have won 22 Grammy Awards and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2005.
Here is my favorite song by them:

My iTunes is stuck on Shuffle!

Ok, since there has been a large amount of lag in the Friday music posts I have decided to try something. On Fridays I will be going to my iTunes and turning on shuffle and who ever is the artist of the song that plays will be the focus for the blog.

This weeks post is going to be about: Acceptance

The first time I heard one of their songs was when I bought the Soundtrack for the movie Stealth. The song was Different. Here is a link to the Music Video. As you probably can guess I am a rock fan. This was a song that was slow but had a good sound to it. It took me a while to really like it enough to buy all of their album. They only released one full album and 2 EPs. They weren't very popular and were not around to long either. They started the band in 1998 and broke up in 2006. They are considered alternate rock, but some people believe them to be Christian rock. They are a good band in my eyes and I hope one day that they would get back together so they could make more music.
