  3. Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days
  4. Ice Age: Continental Drift
  5. The Watch
Now onto the movie news:
  • The Wolverine:
    • The Wolverine, the Sequel to X-Men Origins: Wolverine, has cast a very important character. It was recently announced that Will Yun Lee will play the Silver Samurai.
  • Ghostbusters 3:
    • Ghostbusters 3 is getting script rewrite. Etan Cohen, the guy that wrote the script for Men in Black 3 is going to have his hands full for a while.
  • Ed Helms is in talks to star in the reboot/sequel to the Vacation series with Chevy Chase.  Ed Helms  is set to play Rusty Griswold. Chevy Chase is set to return as Clark Griswold and Beverly D’Angelo is set to return as Ellen. David Dobkin is set to produce the sequel/reboot, with both John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein working as writer and director. The film is set to start production next spring after Ed Helms finishes The Office and The Hangover 3.
  • Iron Man 3:
    • Here is a video of the Iron Man Armor for Iron Man 3:
I don't know about you, but that looks really sweet!
  • The Punisher Short film called #Dirty Laundry:

The scene was shown in the trailer where Mickey Cohen’s, Sean Penn's character, men attempt to gun down members of the LAPD at Grauman’s Chinese Theater. And with that the movie has been delayed to January 11th, 2013 where it will go up against Hansel & Gretel Witch Hunters starring Jeremy Renner and Gemma Arterton.
Movie trailers and clips:
  • The Campaign Red Band Clip:
  • Bourne to be Alive:
  • Man of Steel Teaser:

Until something radical happens to this movie, I do not plan on seeing it. I am a Huge Superman fan and it would be sad if this movie turns out horrible.
  • Cloud Atlas:
  • Chasing Mavericks:
  • Taken 2:
  • Skyfall Internation Trailer:
  • Skyfall US Trailer:
  • The Words Trailer #2:

The Hunger Games is still #1!

    The Weekend Box Office results:
    1. The Hunger Games
    2. The Three Stooges
    3. The Cabin in the Woods
    4. Titanic 3D
    5. American Reunion
The Movie news for the week:
    • Sir Ben Kingsley is set to play a villain in Iron Man 3. He will not be the main villain or the Mandarin like many people believed he would play. This would be yet another good role for him since he does well in the villainous roles in movies.
    • Here is a short film you may want to watch. It is really good for only being 5 minutes long. Check it out below:
    • The Avengers is already getting some good reviews from the early screenings of the movie. Here is some good stuff to get you even more hyped for the movie.
Here is a set visit video from Entertainment Tonight:

Here is a clip called Headcount:

Here is a clip with Captain America and Thor. They seem to be really starting to bond.

Those should hold you over a little longer.
    • Here is the trailer for the movie Looper I was talking about in last week's post:

    • Disney is officially eyeing the sequel for The Muppets to be released in 2013. It sounds good to me, but I am kind of sad that Jason Segel will not be back to co-write the sequel.
    • Paramount has set the release date for Darren Aronofsky’s Noah on March 28, 2014. The movie stars Russell Crowe as Noah and Liam Neeson as the villain.
    • Bill Murray has still not decided if he wants be in Ghostbusters 3 yet. There have been many reports that state he dislikes the idea of the movie and will not be in it. Recently  Bill has said the Ghostbusters 3 is not out of question yet. My hopes that he will come on and do the picture. I never experienced the movies in theater and would like to love this movie.

It's The End Of The World As We Know It!

As usual the Box Office Results for last weekend:
    1. The Vow
    2. Safe House
    3. Journey 2: The Mysterious Island
    4. Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace (in 3D)
    5. Chronicle (2012)
Now onto the Movie news for this week:
    • A new Amazing Spider-man Trailer is out and teases more of the film. There is also some shorts of the Lizard.
    • Instead of Sin City 2, Machete 2 will be  Robert Rodriguez's next project.
    • The Wolverine, the sequel to the sorry excuse of an origin movie, has a release date. July 26th, 2013 is when the sequel will be release and the film is supposed to take place in Japan.
    • Zak Penn,  The Incredible Hulk , has been hired to write the Karate Kid remake sequel.  Ethan Reiff and Cyrus Voris, Kung Fu Panda, were hired originally to write the sequel. I still dont want to see this series!
    • Lionsgate wants more Twilight films even though Stephenie Meyer said she was done writing with the characters. I was hoping the Horror of these Twilight movies would be over once the last on released.  Now it looks like Lionsgate will be making more movies with Stephenie Meyer's characters.
    • The Abomination the could be Transformers 4 is predicting a release date in Summer of 2014.
    • Rumor: Bill Murray will not be in Ghostbusters 3, the role of Peter Venkman will be given to a recast.
    • The Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter trailer was released today. Being a Fan of the book I was waiting for this trailer to be released. Check out the trailer below:
    • Here is one of the reasons why Steve Carell left the office. I guess in the spirit of the supposed end of the world these type of movie will be released all year long.

Thanks for reading today's post, as always leave a comment down below about anything or the question of the day, which is:

QOTD: Could Transformers 4 be a profitable movie?

      Late and long Movie blog!

As always on the Monday blog, the Weekend Box Office Results:

      1. Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol
      2. Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows
      3. Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked
      4. The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2011)
      5. War Horse
And now onto the movie news:
      • Lionsgate to continue the Saw Franchise. Saw 8 is really close to being made. Yet another Franchise that wont ever die!
      • Sacha Baron Cohen signs on for role in  Les Misérables. I wonder how he does in a musical role?
      • American Psycho being rebooted? This better just be a rumor or Christian Bale will start screaming at somebody else!
      • As you already know Matt Damon will not be in the next Bourne movie, which is titled Bourne Legacy. They are starting fresh with a new character since they felt they beat the identity and  amnesia  part of the movies into the ground.  Jeremy Renner will play a Bourne like killer and the movie will be about  Treadstone from another agents point of view. From from I have heard and read Matt Damon will be back after this movie.
      • Spider-man could never look more Awesome then in the picture above.
      • A Robin Easter egg was found in the most recent Dark Knights Rises Trailer.
      • Bill Murray reads the Ghostbusters 3 scripts, shreds it and sends it back with a note. Now the movie could move on with out him.
      • Fast and Furious 6 and 7 is still on says Vin Diesel. How can they make them better in Europe? Easy, just bring in Jason Statham.
      • Mission: Impossible 5 is being rushed by Paramount. Rushing never helps when making a good movie. It could hurt the sequel and even injure some of the actors. But the good thing is it might stop Tom Cruise from making Top Gun 2!
      • Rumors are out the the Red Skull is in 'The Avengers'. Still a rumor, but he did not did in Captain America so it could happen.
      • Paramount just confirmed Paranormal Activity 4. Yet another failure.
Thats all the movie news I have for today. This is a really long blog because I am catching up on what I have have missed. Dont for get to respond to the Question of the day which is:

QOTD: Could there be Ghostbusters 3 made without Bill Murray? If so, would it be any good?

      Until Next time,
      The Pop Cult Blogger
