David Arquette needs a job!

The Television news for the week:
  • Dexter Season 7 Teaser:

  • MTV is starting work on a scary television show. They recently announced that they are working on a TV show thats about the Scream movie franchise. With the recent lukewarm reaction to Scream 4 in the box office (I liked it.) this comes as a surprise. With Scream 5 still in talks of being made, nobody know where the show will play in the franchise. Will this show turn out well and be a success or are they just trying to give David Arquette a job?
  • Breaking Bad Season 5 Poster:
    breaking-bad-season-5-poster
I havent got into the show yet, but since this is its last season, I may sit down and watch it at some point.
  • Mads Mikkelsen is set to play Hannibal “The Cannibal” Lecter in Bryan Fuller's TV show Hannibal. You probably remember him  as the villain with a bleeding eye in Casino Royale. You may also remember him from Valhalla Rising where he played One Eye. Bryan told Enthertainment Weekly that Hannibal will begin before the events in Red Dragon. I will at least watch the Pilot and I will make my decision about the series from there.
  • Season 3 of Spartacus will be its last. Here is the announcement trailer for the final chapter of the show:
  • Jerry O’Connell is set to play Herman Munster in Bryan Fuller’s TVshow Mockingbird Lane. If you don't know what this is, it is the re imagining of The Munsters. He has the facial structure and the height to play Herman Munster so this could be a good role for him. I will have to wait and read/see more about the show.
Thanks for reading today's post, as always leave a comment down below about anything or the question of the day, which is:

QOTD: Will you be checking out either of the upcoming shows from Bryan Fuller?

NBC gets Channel of the Year Award!

The television news for the week:
  • NBC has renewed 30 Rock, Community, and Parks and Recreation for another season, but with a catch. They will all have shortened seasons. Each show will average about 13 to 14 shows this season. 30 Rock is coming back for its seventh and mostly likely final season. After the long mid season hiatus for Community, people weren't sure if it there would be a season four. Parks and Recreation will be back for its fifth season. NBC also decided to cancel Awake after a first season full of mixed reviews.
  • Fox decides to pick up the show Touch for another season and decides to cancel Alcatraz, The Finder, Breaking In, and I Hate My Teenage Daughter. This is sad, I kind of liked The Finder and Breaking In, even though I have only seen one episode of each show. The renewal of Touch doesn't come as a surprise since it was such a smash hit with audiences.
  • The cast of Grey’s Anatomy has signed contracts for seasons 9 and 10. This is sad since I think the show is a ripoff of Scrubs and is really bad Television. I cant believe a show like this has lasted this long.
  • AMC renews Comic Book Men and The Talking Dead for another season each. I was surprised that Comic Book Men could get another season sin it was really hard for me to watch it. It was boring, lame, and couldn't keep my attention. The Talking Dead on the other hand was pretty cool. Chris Hardwick made the after show for The Walking Dead fun and Entertaining. I am now a big fan of The Nerdist Podcast that is hosted by Chris Hardwick and I can't wait for season 3 of The Walking Dead to return so that he can talk about the show with some more special guests.
  • The CW orders many shows, but me being a guy and a comic book nerd only one is worth watching for me. Arrow, the TV show adaption of the Green Arrow Comic Books seems to be working out as a good show. The CW also adds The Carrie Diaries, Beauty and the Beast, First Cut, and Cult to the line up this fall.  The Carrie Diaries will serve as a Sex and the City Prequel. Beauty and the Beast will be the modern version of the TV show back in the 80's. First Cut will be like an ER equivalent of the movie Mean Girls. The TV show Cult will be about an Investigative journalist who investigates the growing number of suspicious macabre happenings surrounding a show called Cult (isn't that already the name of this show?) and the weird happenings of super fans taking their devotion to the show to weird and scary places in the weird world. Its seems to be kind of like Supernatural to me.
  • Jon Favreau and J.J. Abrams have a new show coming out this Fall. It is a Sci-Fi Show coming to NBC and is called Revolution.
Here is the trailer for the show:

As long as my work schedule isn't so heavy on the Monday's I will be watching this show!
  • Yet another show that could be good is coming to NBC. The show is called Chicago Fire and features Jesse Spencer from House, Check out the trailer below:

Jon Hamm is an old Daniel Radcliffe!

The Television news for the week:
  • Daniel Radcliffe will play a younger version of Jon Hamm in a four-part British television miniseries. The miniseries is about a young Russian doctor during the post World War 1 era, played by Daniel Radcliffe, that tries to overcome his shakiness and self-doubt. Jon Hamm will play the narrator and will occasionally interact with his younger self. The series will have a sort of  darkly humorous tone. I think it would be funny to hear Daniel Radcliffe and Jon Hamm with an Russian accent.
  • Supernatural has been renewed for another season and man am I happy. But I also heard that it may be the shows last season. With many fans complaining about the 7th seasons main nemesis, the Leviathans, not being the main story, fans that have been watching the show for years have been walking away from the show. I liked this season so far, it is what a series like this needs. The show has been around for seven seasons. They have the slow the show down or they will over achieve on some episodes and royally suck on others. After season 8 Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles will have to resign their contracts. If season 7 finshes well and season 8 is very good, then I believe that they will sign contracts for 2 more seasons. At that point they need to bring the show to a close so that the show doesn't get to crazy. That's just what I think.
  • Remember that TV Show I was talking about back in this blog called True Detectives, well HBO has just decided to pick it up. True Detectives is the story of two Louisiana detectives named Martin Hart, played by Woody Harrelson, and Rust Cohle, played by Matthew McConaughey, on the hunt for a serial killer that spans 17 years. With HBO deciding to put out amazing content, like Boardwalk Empire and Band of Brothers, I think this could turn out well. I will still wait on making my own decisions about the series until I see the Pilot.
  • Robert Kirkman is super excited for Season 3 of The Walking Dead. Season 3 is currently under production and will be for a few months. Robert talks about many things he is excited for in th upcoming season, such as:
    • Bringing the Comic Book alive like never before.
    • The story line of the prison,  Michonne, and the Governor.
    • Michonne will be hacking some zombies.
    • Season 3 has is set for 16 episodes. over twice the amount that season 1 had.
    • Season 3 premieres on AMC this October.
  • Since today's blog is kind of short and I know you guys want my review of The Avengers, I am willing to make a deal. If the blog gets 75 total views today, I will post my review of The Avengers. I may even give something away. So, GET STARTED!!!

They're still on a mission from God!

The Television news for the week:
  • AMC wants to create a TV show around Robert Kirkman's newest comic series called Thief of Thieves. The series tells the story of Conrad Paulson. He is a master thief that goes by the name of Redmond. He is looking to continue his addiction of high-stakes thievery while trying to reconnect with his estranged wife and son at the same time. Conrad starts to steal from other thieves, but now the FBI is hot on his trail and his son is aching to follow in his father’s footsteps. Since I am a huge fan of The Walking Dead comic book series and TV show, I am also a huge fan of Robert Kirkman. I have not read this new comic book series, but from other peoples reviews it seems pretty good. I'm glad TV networks are starting to put on the good stuff.
  • Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson might be playing detectives in a new show called True Detectives. True Detectives is the story of  two Louisiana detectives named Martin Hart, played by  Woody Harrelson, and Rust Cohle, played by Matthew McConaughey, on the hunt for a serial killer that spans 17 years. The series will see the case begin in 1995 and continue through to present day. During that 17 years, the hunt of the murderer and their partnership leaves a huge mark on each man’s life. I am not a huge fan of these types of shows, but I am a big fan of Woody Harrelson. So that means I will at least watch the Pilot when it comes out.
  • Dan Aykroyd and Judy Belushi, the widow of John Belushi, are working on a Blues Brothers animated series. They are trying to modernize the series since it has been thirty years since the Blues Brothers have been very popular. If they try and modernize it too much, I do not plan on watching it. It will be a good thing if they do it right.

Don Draper for President!!!

The Television news for the week:
  • Netflix is in talks with ABC to purchase The River. The River to me is a good show and I don't understand why the Paranormal Activity franchise is good, but not The River. I like that Netflix is trying to acquire shows that may otherwise not be released. With Netflix already bring Arrested Development back and taking over Terra Nova, this a good move for them. I hope the deal goes through.
  • The cost of Don Draper in today's society. This little info graphic about the famous Mad Men character and how much it would cost in today's world to still be the Don Draper from 1962. Check it out below:

  • More details about the Smallville Season 11 Comic book has been released. Here are some things you need to know about it:
    • There will be more Superman then Clark Kent
    • It will be kind of like Superman: Year One with the Smallville cast
    • Chloe and Oliver are married. they want to move to Star City, but cant because of something that happens in the first 12 weeks of their marriage. Maybe a Baby? Maybe more of saving the world?
    • Will have a lot of DC character guest stars just like the show had.
    • Comes out as a digital comic in April and in print in June
    • Here are the covers of the first 2 issues:
    • Issue #1:
      Smallville Season 11 - Issue 1
    • Issue #2
      Smallville Season 11 - Issue 2
  • A new trailer for Season 2 of Game of Thrones has been released. Check it out below:

They also released TV spots that wants fans to pledge their allegiance to their favorite noble house of Westeros. I would have posted them here, but there are 5 different TV spots and I didn't think you guys wanted a post filled with 6 videos and barley anything else. They are all on HBO's website if you want to see them.

The F'n Osbournes are back BABY!

The Television news for the week:
  • After a 7 year absence from TV the Osbourne's will be making a return to Prime-time television. The famous family will be lending their voices for the stop-motion animations of their selves. The series will be called  The F’n Osbourne's (The F stands for family). This show will not be suitable for kids. So far there is no word on when this show will be released and where it will air.
  • A producer for the fan favorite TV show is confident about another season of Community.  Russ Kransoff is feeling pretty confident about the shows 4th season.  The show is a huge fan favorite and even the people at NBC love the show. The show comes back to start to finish its 3rd season this Thursday during its normal 8PM time slot. Russ Kransoff urges fans to not stop spreading the word. I am a huge fan of Community and I do not want to see it go. If you are a fan, spread the word and maybe we can keep the show going together.
  • Season 2 of The Walking Dead is coming to a close this Sunday night a 9PM. The show has seen 2 deaths of main characters, one sorrowful and one everyone has been waiting for. I don't want to get into to much detail about last Sunday nights episode, but one major question about the series might be answered soon. If you remember at the end of the first season where Dr. Jenner whispered something in Rick's ear , the viewers don't know what was said. There have been many rumors on what was said, but only the cast and crew know what was said. It was one of the biggest secrets of the series. We had some insights on what Dr. Jenner might have said, but we are not sure for certain. I am hoping the secret is revealed in the season finale, but who knows if they want to reveal this secret yet. AMC is really good about this and have let nothing slip. I don't know about you, but I will be watching the season finale!

Live long and...Bazinga!

The Television news for the day:
  • A new Game of Thrones Season 2 trailer has been released. Check it out below:

  • Leonard Nimoy will be making an appearance in an episode of The Big Bang Theory. The Sci-Fi Legend will be appearing in the episode that airs on March 29th where he is in one of Sheldon's dreams. But you will not see his face, he will just be a voice over for Sheldon's dream. LeVar Burton, Brent Spiner, and George Takei have all made cameos in episodes of the show. Will Wheaton is even a reoccurring cast member who happens to be Sheldon's mortal enemy.

!!!The Walking Dead Season 2 Finale Spoiler Alert!!!

  • Major Spoilers for The Walking Dead Season 2 have been released. After the death of Dale in the most recent episode, many have been waiting for another notable character to bit the bullet. AMC has announced that the character Shane, played by Jon Bernthal, will be killed during the season finale on March 18th. To some this comes as a surprise, but me I knew it was coming. Jon Bernthal has been in talks with  Frank Darabont to be apart of his TNT's pilot for a period drama called L.A. Noir.   Jon Bernthal has officially signed on for the Pilot which means the character of Shane will not be back next season.

If you were a fan of the comic books like I am you would know that Shane
doesn't make it past issue 6, where Carl offs him for trying to kill his dad. The whole story has been changed from the comic books since Shane has lasted longer then he should have. We still dont know how he is going to die in the Season 2 Finale. My hopes are that Daryl or Carl kill him. My guess is that it will be Carl that shoots him in the end.

Paranormal Activity + Lost + The Amazon= The River!

The Television news for this week:
  • Stephen Amell will play Olvier Queen, The Green Arrow, in CW's new Green Arrow TV show. Fans were hoping that it would be a direct spin-off from Smallville, where Olvier Queen was played by Justin Hartley. Stephen Amell has recently starred in shows like The Vampire Diaries, 90210, and recently cancelled Hung. DC and CW has green lighted the series and it will start production soon.
  • The River is premiering tonight and I cant wait to watch it. One of my favorite Actors, Joe Anderson, stars in this  show about a crew of explores on a quest to find a missing TV explorer in the Amazon. The show comes from the minds of  Oren Peli and Michael R. Perry, which are the minds behinde the Paranormal Activity trilogy. Check out the Full trailer here:
  • The next show I am planning to start watching is Alcatraz, The show from the mind of J.J. Abrams. I am a huge fan of his work and I havent found time to sit down and watch it yet. Either I am going to have to catch the reruns or buy it on iTunes.
  • Oh and dont forget, The Walking Dead comes back this Sunday at 9PM on AMC. I may be out of town at a concert that night so I dot think I will be able to watch it until the next day.

It’s ‘Elementary’, my dear Watson!

Today's late bit of TV news:
Yes, he is pretty Crazy!
  • Alcatraz, how was it? I missed the series premier and I want to know what you people that about it before I spend money to purchase an Episode.
  • CBS wants to create a series about a modern day Sherlock Holmes. This is pretty much that same thing PBS and BBC did in 2010. The series has a pilot in development and the title of the series is Elementary.
  • The CW is working on a Green Arrow TV series. It is suppose to have no connection to the Smallville TV series (even though it should) and supposed to be from the writers of the Green Lantern movie. I don't think this is a smart idea. Why not continue with the great base they had with the character in Smallville.
  • The Walking Dead has released some good stuff in this past week. They released the poster to the right, which is the last action you see in the last half of the second season. AMC has renewed the series for another 16 episode season, which is Awesome! They also released a clip from the upcoming episode called  NebraskaCheck it out here! The series doesn't come back until the 12th of February. Which I am going to miss since I will be out of town at a concert on that night.

The Mythbusters mess up?

The TV news for today:
  • The Munsters reboot will go through a lot of changes to try and make it in Television today. Besides it being Darker and Edger, some of the characters will change. The family is forced to move after Eddie Munster, who is unaware that he is a werewolf, changes and attacks some of his fellow scouts on a scouting trip.  Grandpa Munster is now a 600 year old shapeshifter instead of being a Vampire.  Lily Munster now has an eating disorder and eats suicide victims. And last but not least  Marilyn Munster is adopted into the family after her cannibalistic birth mother tries to eat her when she was and infant. To me it seems like a cross between True Blood and Modern Family. Hoping the show doesn't kill the idea of the old Munsters TV Show.
  • The Mythbusters have some mishap while filming one episode. While filming an episode a cannon ball misses its target and goes flying through a California neighborhood damaging a house and a Minivan. No one was hurt and the accident is now under investigation. The Episode will most likely not air. Click the link here to see the news video where Adam and Jamie apologize and to get more detail about the accident. Mythbusters Mishap
  • Ice Cube to star in FX series called Eye for an Eye. He is set to play a Paramedic turned murderous  Vigilante. Seems to me like a ripoff of the popular show Dexter.
  • Also FX has signed Russell Brand to do a late night unscripted show. It will turn into his show where he can do what ever he wants without having to  apologize  for it.
  • And last but not least Hell on Wheels has been renewed for a second season. After being leading by the already popular The Walking Dead, the show has been bringing in 2 Million views per episode. I havent seen an episode yet, but for being a Western I hear it is a good show. It will join Mad Men, Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead, and The Killing on AMC, where things just keep getting better and better.
Thanks for reading today's post, as always leave a comment down below about anything or the question of the day, which is:

QOTD: Do you like what FX is doing with there shows now?

TV show, hits or flops!

I've been trying to catch up and all the shows I missed this week so I wont be doing reviews today. There has been a lot of TV news that just surfaced in the past week. I'm hoping some of these news shows become a hit and the old stuff keep getting better. Alright, lets get into the news:
  • The Sons of Anarchy is set for another season. Hopefully it will be around for more the 5 seasons.
  • Fox is in talks about making a Zombieland TV show. In hopes to compete with The Walking Dead on AMC. Suppose to be like The Walking dead, but with some added humor.
  • The miniseries Band of Brothers and The Pacific is going to be released as a box set on November 8th. Will come in DVD and Blu-ray.
  • Fox is also pushing to do a Punisher TV show. You know the Marvel comics character that has had 3 movies including a remake. The character is getting a whole new makeover. "Frank Castle (aka The Punisher) as a detective with the New York City Police Department who takes to the streets in his off time, in search of justice as the vigilante known as The Punisher."
  • Speaking of The Walking Dead, AMC has announced that Season 3 of The Walking Dead is happening. Hopefully it will come out before next October.
  • Eddie Murphy has decided not to do a Beverly Hills Cop 4 and just do a Beverly Hills Cop TV show. Eddie will not be lead actor in the series. He will play Chief of Police and his son in the TV show will play the lead role.
That's all the TV news I have for today, feel free to leave a comment.

Until next time,
