Apple wants Half-Life 3 NOW!!

The Gaming news for the week:
  • Apple CEO Tim Cook was spotted visiting Valve this week. There is no word on what he did there or what it was about. It could be anything from discussing a next generation console or maybe even getting some inside news on Half-Life 3. Maybe something about his visit will be released soon.
  • The characters from the popular online show, Red vs. Blue, have announced the release date of Halo 4. Halo 4 is set to release on November 6th of this year. The guys over at Rooster Teeth have been working with 343 Industries for a while now and this gave them a chance to announce a pretty big thing. This actually a pretty good date for this game to be released. Since I have already pre-ordered Assassin's Creed 3 and it comes out on October 30th of this year, it gives me time to beat it before Halo 4 is released.

  • The trailer for Bethesda new game Dishonored has been released. It looks good, but I might need more convincing before I buy it. The game follows Corvo who has been framed of assassinating the  Empress by Lord Regent. The game allows the player to manipulate the world around them while also being able to dart across rooftops, stealth assassinate targets, and use swordplay that allows you to slash enemies throats. Players also get to fire a hand mounted crossbow and cast some pretty powerful spells that allow you to break through windows and doors. To me it looks like a mixture of Assassin's Creed and Bioshock.

  • Here is a trailer for a Star Trek game that is being made:

There hasn't been too much news released about the game, but I can atleast tell you this. The game is supposed to be more like the Uncharted series then the Mass Effect series. The game will have a major co-op aspect and will allow players to play as Spock and Kirk. There is no information yet on how the single player campaign will go though.

QOTD: What is your opinion of Dishonored?

Star Wars Xbox? Skyrim mod from Valve?

The Video Game news for this week:
  • Rumor: A Battlefield 3 DLC may be dropping this week. Might be called All American, including maps that look like New York City, Miami, New Jersey and San Francisco.
  • Sony to change PSN, PlayStation Network, account into SEN, Sony Entertainment Network, accounts. I twas announced by email that the change was only cosmetic and will not affect PSP player.
  • Bethesda released the Creation kit for Skyrim fans yesturday. I have not seen it personaly, but I hear that it is awesome. It is free to download via Steam. This is only for PC users, but you can do some crazy stuff on there. Since Valve hosted the released they created a mod for the game that stars a notable Portal 2 character. The mod is called Fall of the Space Core, Vol. 1, if that doesn't give the character away then you are not a real Valve fan.
  • Rumor: Star Wars: Battlefront 3 has a few rumors out there after job postings from a certain developer may hint at the title.
  • EA will be announcing Medal of Honor 2 this March with high hopes of huge sales.
  • LucasArts drops the release date for Kinect Star Wars, which will be released on April 3rd. They also announced the  Kinect Star Wars which includes  the console designed to look like R2-D2, includes the Kinect device, and a C-3PO-themed controller. Check out the bundle below:

  • Activision announces the sequel to Skylanders Spyro’s Adventure which is Skylanders Giants. It is aimed at kids and their parents. If is as popular as the original title, it will be a big release this Fall.
