I told you Sherlock was still alive!

The Television news for this week:
  • After 9 season of being one of the most popular show on Television, The Office will be coming to an end. It is a sad thing to hear, but we all knew it was coming. After Steve Carell's exit from the show, we all saw the series start to go down hill. Don't worry about saying goodbye to one character, NBC is still moving forward on the Dwight Schrute spin-off series called The Farm.
  • Season 4 of Arrested Development is getting 3 more episodes. David Cross told Rolling Stone this, because some characters have two-part episodes. He says "Everybody sort of participates, sometimes in a bigger way and sometimes in a tiny little thread that goes through everybody else’s stories."
  • The stories from Series 3  of Sherlock (Season 3 in American Terms) have been announced.
    • Rat = The Adventure of the Sussex Vampire (or possibly Moffat intends to expand on the oft-referenced case of The Giant Rat Of Sumatra):  A story for which the world is not yet prepared
    • Wedding = The Noble Bachelor:  centered around the disappearance of a bride on her wedding night
    • Bow = His Last Bow: often considered as the final Sherlock Holmes story where the famed investigator retires once and for all.

Troy and Abed in the Morning!

The Television news for this week:
  • Tony Shalhoub will be making his return to TV soon. He has signed on for a yet to be titled series from Rob Greenberg, the executive producer of How I Met Your Mother. He is set to play a man named Frank who is a self-proclaimed ladies man that has had four divorces. Tony Shalhoub is just one of those actors to me that I will always watch if the thing he is on is good.
  • BBC America is producing a Three Musketeers TV series. The series will be written by Adrian Hodges, who recently did  My Week with Marilyn. The series will follow Athos, Porthos, and Aramis and will follow them as they are assigned to protect the King and their country. The series will be appropriately titled  The Musketeers and will be a 10 episode series.
  • NBC picks up a new comedy series with Michael J. Fox. It is a yet to be titled series inspired by his real life. The series follows Fox as a husband and father of three living in New York City and dealing with his family, career, and challenges, that include having Parkinson’s disease. The show has a full series order of 22 episodes with director Will Gluck, Easy A, and Sam Laybourne, Arrested Development and Cougar Town, are on board as executive producers and co-creators.
  • Malcolm McDowell will be on Community next season as a History Professor. He will have a two episode arc on Community and will play Professor Cornwallis, a history teacher. I'm pretty sure Abed will be making reference to his appearance in A Clockwork Orange. Season 4 of Community premieres Friday, October 19th @8:30pm on NBC.

Excuse me, do these effectively hide my thunder?

The Television news for the week:
  • The poster for The Walking Dead Season 3 has been released, check it out below:
  • The first Set Photo from the Arrested Development set shows that this is really happening. This is not a dream, the Bluths are actually coming back. Oh, how I have missed them. Check out the set photo below:
  • New trailer for Arrow is out. It asks the question that everyone is asking, Who has Oliver Queen become? Click the link to see the trailer:
Exclusive: Check Out the New Trailer for CW's Arrow
Sorry, but who ever posted the video is not allowing me to embed it into this post.
  • Remember a very long time ago when I was talking about the Transporter TV series and it having a rough start, when Chris Vance got hurt during filming. Well the series has released a decent trailer to tell a little bit of the story and show some of the cool action scenes. Check it out below:

Nickelodeon creates a show for Moms

The late Television news for the week:
  • Ray Stevenson, Punisher: War Zone, will be in Season 7 of Dexter. He will play an Eastern European criminal who comes to town to find out who killed a member of his organization. So that probably mean that Ray will play the character that will be the main villain in Season 7. I believe fans will be happy just as long as it doesn't end up like a repeat of Season 5.
  • Nickelodeon is working on prime time programming for Moms. Now there can be many jokes made here, but lets not do that. It will be a late night set of shows that will include long and short humor shows, talk shows, stand-up, sketch comedy, and hidden camera shows. They are planning to launch the programming this fall under the name NickMom.
  • Disney has a new show coming out for their Disney XD block. TRON: Uprising will be the cartoon sequel for TRON: Legacy and will be contained in The Grid. It is mainly trying to get kids interested in the Tron series (so that the next movie makes a bigger bang.) It seems decent, but I really don't want to watch it. Check out a sneak peak below:

  • Netflix is trying to revive yet another fan favorite. They are working with CBS to get the rights for Jericho. If this does happen, then Netflix is getting smarter with targeting fan favorites like this. They bring in more subscribers and maybe get them to stay. I have almost finished re-watching Arrested Development on Netflix and I cant wait for the new season to be released. All I have to say is if Netflix still wants my business, keep reviving good shows. Maybe at one point they may even consider reviving Firefly.

QOTD: Do you watch Dexter?

Britney Spears is replacing Paula Abdul!?

The Television news for the week:
  • Here are some more details on the Arrested Development show and movie:
    • The fourth Season will have 10 episodes and will lead up to the movie.
    • Each episode will be about a different member of the Bluth family. What they have been doing since we last saw them and what they are doing in the events leading up to the movie.
    • Netflix will be releasing the entire season at once to see how many total views they can get.
    • If this season does well, there might be another season coming.
  • Britney Spears is finalizing a deal so that she can become a Judge on Season 2 of The X Factor. After Paula Abdul was axed, they need to replace her with somebody. Simon Cowell says that they will be announcing a new judge by the end of next week. If Britney Spears takes the deal, she will be making $15 Million a season.
  • Bryan Fuller is thinking of developing a new Star Trek TV show. If it happens, it would take place after J.J. Abrams upcoming Star Trek Sequel. Which gives the show sometime to really work out the story. They are planning to make the show in the years 3000 and with a whole new Ship. The show is years away from production, but I will keep you updated as the story develops.
  • Season 2 of American Horror Story has a little bit of news. Ryan Murphy, the series' creator, has said that the show will be taking place at a institution for the criminally insane on the east coast that is being ran by Jessica Lange character. I still have not watched a single episode of the show and have no idea if I should get into the show.
Thanks for reading today's post, as always leave a comment down below about anything or the question of the day, which is:

QOTD: Should I start watching American Horror Story?

Don Draper for President!!!

The Television news for the week:
  • Netflix is in talks with ABC to purchase The River. The River to me is a good show and I don't understand why the Paranormal Activity franchise is good, but not The River. I like that Netflix is trying to acquire shows that may otherwise not be released. With Netflix already bring Arrested Development back and taking over Terra Nova, this a good move for them. I hope the deal goes through.
  • The cost of Don Draper in today's society. This little info graphic about the famous Mad Men character and how much it would cost in today's world to still be the Don Draper from 1962. Check it out below:

  • More details about the Smallville Season 11 Comic book has been released. Here are some things you need to know about it:
    • There will be more Superman then Clark Kent
    • It will be kind of like Superman: Year One with the Smallville cast
    • Chloe and Oliver are married. they want to move to Star City, but cant because of something that happens in the first 12 weeks of their marriage. Maybe a Baby? Maybe more of saving the world?
    • Will have a lot of DC character guest stars just like the show had.
    • Comes out as a digital comic in April and in print in June
    • Here are the covers of the first 2 issues:
    • Issue #1:
      Smallville Season 11 - Issue 1
    • Issue #2
      Smallville Season 11 - Issue 2
  • A new trailer for Season 2 of Game of Thrones has been released. Check it out below:

They also released TV spots that wants fans to pledge their allegiance to their favorite noble house of Westeros. I would have posted them here, but there are 5 different TV spots and I didn't think you guys wanted a post filled with 6 videos and barley anything else. They are all on HBO's website if you want to see them.

QOTD: Which N
oble House of Westeros are you pledging your allegiance to?

Very slow day!

There isn't too many things to talk about today, but there is still something to be said.
  • Phineas and Ferb just got renewed for a fourth season and a winter vacation special. Shows not to be released until late 2013.
  • New Episodes of  'Arrested Development' will be on Netflix in 2013. Finally Netflix does something smart!
  • HBO planning to do a TV series about Doc Holliday. You know, the famous western gunslinger/dentist.
  • NBC wants to reboot 'The Munsters', but make it darker and edgier. Looks like there are more and more horror shows coming out each year.
Thats all the news I have for today. If you want, you can leave a comment down below about the question ot the day or anything.

QOTD: Whats your favorite TV Show/s?

Until next time,
