Troy and Abed in the Morning!

The Television news for this week:
  • Tony Shalhoub will be making his return to TV soon. He has signed on for a yet to be titled series from Rob Greenberg, the executive producer of How I Met Your Mother. He is set to play a man named Frank who is a self-proclaimed ladies man that has had four divorces. Tony Shalhoub is just one of those actors to me that I will always watch if the thing he is on is good.
  • BBC America is producing a Three Musketeers TV series. The series will be written by Adrian Hodges, who recently did  My Week with Marilyn. The series will follow Athos, Porthos, and Aramis and will follow them as they are assigned to protect the King and their country. The series will be appropriately titled  The Musketeers and will be a 10 episode series.
  • NBC picks up a new comedy series with Michael J. Fox. It is a yet to be titled series inspired by his real life. The series follows Fox as a husband and father of three living in New York City and dealing with his family, career, and challenges, that include having Parkinson’s disease. The show has a full series order of 22 episodes with director Will Gluck, Easy A, and Sam Laybourne, Arrested Development and Cougar Town, are on board as executive producers and co-creators.
  • Malcolm McDowell will be on Community next season as a History Professor. He will have a two episode arc on Community and will play Professor Cornwallis, a history teacher. I'm pretty sure Abed will be making reference to his appearance in A Clockwork Orange. Season 4 of Community premieres Friday, October 19th @8:30pm on NBC.
Thanks for reading today's post, as always leave a comment down below about anything or the question of the day, which is:

QOTD: What has been your favorite project that envolved Tony Shalhoub?

TV show, hits or flops!

I've been trying to catch up and all the shows I missed this week so I wont be doing reviews today. There has been a lot of TV news that just surfaced in the past week. I'm hoping some of these news shows become a hit and the old stuff keep getting better. Alright, lets get into the news:
  • The Sons of Anarchy is set for another season. Hopefully it will be around for more the 5 seasons.
  • Fox is in talks about making a Zombieland TV show. In hopes to compete with The Walking Dead on AMC. Suppose to be like The Walking dead, but with some added humor.
  • The miniseries Band of Brothers and The Pacific is going to be released as a box set on November 8th. Will come in DVD and Blu-ray.
  • Fox is also pushing to do a Punisher TV show. You know the Marvel comics character that has had 3 movies including a remake. The character is getting a whole new makeover. "Frank Castle (aka The Punisher) as a detective with the New York City Police Department who takes to the streets in his off time, in search of justice as the vigilante known as The Punisher."
  • Speaking of The Walking Dead, AMC has announced that Season 3 of The Walking Dead is happening. Hopefully it will come out before next October.
  • Eddie Murphy has decided not to do a Beverly Hills Cop 4 and just do a Beverly Hills Cop TV show. Eddie will not be lead actor in the series. He will play Chief of Police and his son in the TV show will play the lead role.
That's all the TV news I have for today, feel free to leave a comment.

Until next time,

Scream! Its the Last Man Walking Dead!

I don't really watch too much TV, but this past week I watched 3 shows. I watched the season 2 premier of The Walking Dead, I saw the third episode of Tim Allen's new comedy on ABC called Last Man Standing, and I also watch The 2011 Scream Awards on SpikeTV.

As me being a big fan of The Walking Dead comics (I own comics 1-80) I loved the first season. The new season started out slow, but in a good way. It prepared you for what was coming ahead in the episode and also what’s coming ahead in the season. I don't want to give any Spoilers, except that not too many zombies were killed in the first episode. It left you at a cliff hanger and I can’t wait until the new episode this Sunday night.

If you liked Home Improvement, you will probably love Last Man Standing. Being Tim Allen's first TV Role since Home Improvement I was hoping for something that made me laugh. He plays a father in a house full of women that works for an Outdoors company that is like Bass Pro Shop. He was a traveling father working on his company catalog and they cancelled his catalog and moved him to online product description videos (which are very funny.) So now he is home more to give fatherly advice to people on the internet and take care of his grandson. The show got very high ratings and I really enjoyed it and laughed a lot. The next episode comes out this Tuesday at 8 PM and I will definitely be watching it.

And finally the 2011 Scream Awards. This was the first time I watched it and I definitely liked it. I didn't get a chance to vote online and only one won that I didn't want to win. They honored Robert Downey Jr. and Nicolas Cage and put inducted them into the Scream Hall Of Fame. It was a really good rewards show, though this was the first rewards show I have ever seen. Next year I will definitely vote and watch the rewards show next year.
