Jim Carrey is at it again!

The Box Office Results from last weekend:
  1. The Expendables 2
  2. The Bourne Legacy
  3. ParaNorman
  4. The Campaign
  5. The Dark Knight Rises
The Movie news for the week:
  • The Avengers deleted Scene, extended clip, and Clip from the documentary:
    • Who is Bruce Banner?:
    • Extended Scene between Hawkeye and Loki:
    • A clip from the documentary, Building a Cinematic Universe, from The Avengers Blu-ray focusing on Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury:
  • Universal is looking to cast Jim Carrey as The Colonel in Kick-Ass 2. If you are not familiar with the comic book, he is the leader of the Heroes in the fight against evil. Donald Faison has already been cast as Doctor Gravity and  John Leguizamo has been cast as Javier, Red Mist’s bodyguard. I can'y wait for this movie to be released!
  • Taken Nemo:
  • Ben Affleck is not directing the Justice League movie. I knew it was a rumor, I just thought it would be fun to see. Ben Affleck is working on Argo right now and that is defiantly one movie that I will see by him. He is a good director, just not for a Superhero Team-up movie.
The Movie trailer for this week:
  • Lawless Red Band Trailer:
  • Passion Trailer:
  • The Hole Trailer:
Thanks for reading today's post, as always leave a comment down below about anything or the question of the day, which is:

QOTD: Are you have about the recent casts for Kick-Ass 2?

When Was the Last Time You Saw Bin Laden?

The Weekend Box Office Results from last weekend:
    1. The Bourne Legacy
    2. The Campaign
    3. The Dark Knight Rises
    4. Hope Springs
    5. Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days
The Movie news for this week:
    • Here is the first Official picture of Daniel Day-Lewis as Abraham Lincoln:
      Daniel Day-Lewis as Abraham Lincoln
If you have not heard Steven Spielberg is making a Abraham Lincoln Biopic called Lincoln. The movie is based on Doris Kearns Goodwin’s best-seller “Team of Rivals: The Political Genius of Abraham Lincoln". The movie starts around the time where Lincoln realizes that the Emancipation Proclamation was simply a war powers act and will be struck down by lawyers after the Civil War. He then realizes that he needs to abolish slavery by constitutional measure.
    • The Avengers News:
      • Jeremy Renner didn't play the Hawkeye he signed on for. He was hoping to play the Hawkeye from the comic books. You know, the cocky, hot headed loud mouth with nothing to lose. I totally agree with him. That was the only thing that I did not like about The Avengers. Hopefully this will change in The Avengers 2.
      • Joss Whedon has signed on to write and direct The Avengers 2. He has signed a 3 year deal with Marvel and has confirmed the release of The Avengers 2 to be in the Summer of 2015.
    • Ben Affleck is talks to direct the Justice League movie. If this is true it could mean something good/bad for DC. He is a good director, but I am a little worried on how he will take the story. If you find the right script, stick to the source material, and find the right set of Actors/Actresses to play the roles of the Superheros then this could be a good movie.
    • Donald Faison has signed on for Kick-Ass 2. He is set to play Doctor Gravity, a Physics Professor by day and a gravity pole wielding crime fighter by night. This is a good move for the movie since  Donald Faison already has a cult following since he was on Scrubs. Hopefully there will be some "Guy Love" between him an Kick-Ass.
    • Heather Graham is back in The Hangover 3 to reprise her role as the stripper Jade. The Hangover: Part 3 is set to release on May 24, 2013.
The Movie Trailers of the Week:
    • Zero Dark Thirty:
    • This is 40 Trailer #2:
    • Trouble with the Curve:
    • Red Dawn Remake:

      SPAAAAAACE!!!

The Gaming news for the week:
      • Rocksteady has announced that their Batman game will not be a sequel. They have announced that the game will be a prequel to Arkham Asylum and will feature the Justice League. This could introduce spin off games! Man, am I hoping for a good Superman Game. The sad news is that Paul Dini will not be writting the story for the game. He did such an amazing job on the first 2, I would love to see how he would have added the Justice league to the story.
      • Ubisoft has announced that Assassins Creed 3 will have Season Pass DLC on Xbox 360. I dont know if you have preordered it already, but I did. What ever DLC that does not come with my preorder I will be buying. The game is not complete until you play ever portion of it.
      • Conan O'Brien's reviews Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition:
      • 343 Industries has announced that they will be releasing a Halo 4 Limited Edition game. Here is what is included in the box that has been announced:
        • The War Games Map Packs that includes access to nine maps: three multiplayer map packs= that included 3 maps in each.
        • Unique in-game Spartan IV armor skin, a weapon skin for the Assault Rifle, an exclusive in-game emblem, an Xbox LIVE Avatar prop, and Avatar Spartan IV armor.
        • Specializations: Receive early access to six Specializations to achieve higher ranks in your Spartan career. In addition to gaining access to new ranks, Specializations unlock new customization options.
        • The Special Edition of Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn, the 90-minute extended version of the live-action digital series which tells the terrifying beginning of the Human/Covenant war. Also how Master Chief inspired a young cadet to become a leader aboard the UNSC Infinity.
        • It releases on November 6th, 2012.
      • The Space core from Portal 2 is in Space. NASA has laser engraved the Space core on to a piece of the a ship they sent up to the International Space Station. Check out the picture below:
        Portal 2 Space Core NASA
      • Valve's Gabe Newell calls Windows 8 a Catastrophe. Blizzard even agrees with him. Didn't I say before that Windows 8 was going to be bad and be another Vista? I believe I did.
      • Far Cry 3 Co-Op trailer:

This might be just enough to make me buy the game.
      • A Virtual Reality Headset called Oculus Rift:

Looks pretty sweet right? Looks like Doom 4 and Minecraft maybe using thins soon.

      Take a break MGM!

      The Weekend Box Office results:
      1. MIB 3
      2. Marvel's The Avengers
      3. Battleship
      4. The Dictator
      5. Chernobyl Diaries
Now to the movie news for this week:
      • Tom Cruise climbs aboard the remake of The Magnificent Seven. To me this isn't a shock that MGM wants to remake some of their classics. I am kind of mad that they are working on the remakes for  RoboCop, WarGames, Death Wish, Carrie and Poltergeist. But why would put Tom Cruise in a Western and make a western in a time where westerns are not popular? They just need to stop making movies until they come up with an original idea.
      • Some recent news has rumored Christopher Nolan to be the writer of the Batman reboot after The Dark Knight Rises. Yes, you read that right. DC wants to reboot the Batman Series after The Dark Knight Rises so that they can have the Batman they want for the Justice League story. But Why?
This has to be one of my favorite set photos from the film:
Christopher Nolan, Morgan Freeman and Christian Bale on the 'Dark Knight Rises' Set
      • Iron Man 3 has just started production and already has good news. The film has an increased budget, it went from $140 Million to $200 Million. Also Jon Favreau will be returning as Happy Hogan, Tony Stark's bodyguard.
      • G.I. Joe: Retaliation has been pushed to a March 2013 release date so that it can be converted into 3D. Its not like I was going to see the movie anyways. This just gives me more of a reason not to go and see it.

      This weeks trailer releases:
      • Teaser for The Watch:
      • Trailer for The Great Gatsby remake:

I don't like this at all! Its like the version with Paul Rudd needed to be remade. The bad thing is it will be in 3D! Another reason for me to hate 3D!
      • The Red Band trailer for Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter:

      • Trailer #3 for  Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter:

      • The Trailer for On The Road:
