Liam Neeson is a Boss!!

As I always on the Monday blog, I post the Weekend Box Office Results:
  1. The Grey
  2. Underworld Awakening
  3. One For the Money
  4. Red Tails
  5. Man on a Ledge
Now onto the movie news for this week:
  • Liam Neeson will be in The Dark Knight Rises to reprise his role as Ra’s al Ghul. In his interview with  ShowbizSpy he had nothing to tell. My thoughts are that he will either be in a flash-back or reincarnated using the Lazarus Pit. Knowing Christopher Nolan's style of directing Ra’s al Ghul will be alive again through Flash-backs.
  • The official The Amazing Spider-Man plot synopsis has been released and man does it give some good hints to the storyline of the movie. Check it out below:

"The Amazing Spider-Man is the story of Peter Parker (Garfield), an outcast high schooler who was abandoned by his parents as a boy, leaving him to be raised by his Uncle Ben (Martin Sheen) and Aunt May (Sally Field). Like most teenagers, Peter is trying to figure out who he is and how he got to be the person he is today. Peter is also finding his way with his first high school crush, Gwen Stacy (Emma Stone), and together, they struggle with love, commitment, and secrets. As Peter discovers a mysterious briefcase that belonged to his father, he begins a quest to understand his parents’ disappearance – leading him directly to Oscorp and the lab of Dr Curt Connors (Ifans), his father’s former partner. As Spider-Man is set on a collision course with Connors’ alter-ego, The Lizard, Peter will make life-altering choices to use his powers and shape his destiny to become a hero."

From what I have read about Marc Webb's vision for the movie, it will blow the previous series out of the water. It will follow the comic books in a better way and make the movie feel more real (using less special effects and CGI.)

  • Have you ever wondered which Studio owned which Marvel Character? Well I did some research and found out which one owns which character:
    • 20th Century Fox Owns: Daredevil(Soon to be rebooted with Jason Satehem becoming The Ma Without Fear), Elektra, Fantastic Four, X-Men Mutants/non-mutants
    • Sony Pictures owns: Spiderman and Ghost Rider
    • All other characters are owned by Marvel
  • The Grey to be given and run at the Oscars late this year. I saw that movie this past weekend and man was it amazing! I would give a formal review of it, but I can't say to much or ill start spoiling it. Lets just say it made me rethink buying a Timber wolf and domesticating it
  • Rumor: Captain America 2 may start production later in this year and have a release date in 2014.
  • Steve Spielberg wants to directing a new take on the Story of Moses called Gods and Kings. Plans say that it will be about his birth all the way through getting the Ten Commandments from God. The story is to be a bit Braveheart-ish in a sense. Could this turn out as good as he hopes?
  • Joe Carnahan, director of The A-Team and The Grey, wants to tackle a Death Wish reboot. Charles Bronson was originally the main character and now some believe the role should go to Liam Neeson. Could this really be done? Would Liam Neeson be good for the role? If not, then who?

  • Matthew Vaughn is confirmed to direct X-Men: First Class sequel. Hopefully it wont be rushed this time so the film will turn out better.
  • Also check out this awesome fan film. Back in 2009, Casey Pugh asked thousands of Internet users to remake "Star Wars: A New Hope" into a fan film, 15 seconds at a time. And it became a huge hit, check it out here: Star Wars Uncut: Director's Cut
Thanks for reading today's post, as always leave a comment down below about anything or the question of the day, which is:

QOTD: Could Jason Satehem really play a Marvel Superhero like Daredevil?

Until Next Time,

    1. Don't forget that marvel got bought out by Disney so they own the rights to all of those characters

      1. True, but I don't really consider it part of Disney since they have free reign over what happens with their characters and movies. Its the same way with ESPN they are (mostly) owned by Disney, but would you consider them part of Disney?
