Community will never be the same!

The Television news for the week:
  • ABC is still planning on doing a Hulk TV series. The series would be coming from the amazing writer, director, producer Guillermo del Toro. To continue the story that The Avengers movie started, they would need to bring on Mark Ruffalo as the show runner. The special effects would have to be great and  be done under a budget. And lastly it would need a large viewership to keep it running. I don't see the show happening, but it would be really nice to see it happen.
  • CBS has released sneak peeks for Elementary and Vegas. If you remember me talking about Elementary being a modern Sherlock Holmes in America with Lucy Liu playing Watson.
    • Sneak Peek for Elementary:

I still think Sherlock from BBC is better.
    • Sneak Peek for Vegas:
  • Here is the first footage from CW's new series Arrow:
    • Here is the trailer for the series:

  • Dan Harmon has been fired as Community Show runner. He went to his Tumblr account to issue a statement. This really shocked me after Season 3 finale just aired last Thursday. The show will still have a 4th season, but without Dan Harmon. Since he is out, do you think that David Guarascio and Moses Port can continue the show? If so, can it be done so that the fans will continue to love it. Could they bring up the ratings so that the show will do better then ever? I hope so!

Don Draper for President!!!

The Television news for the week:
  • Netflix is in talks with ABC to purchase The River. The River to me is a good show and I don't understand why the Paranormal Activity franchise is good, but not The River. I like that Netflix is trying to acquire shows that may otherwise not be released. With Netflix already bring Arrested Development back and taking over Terra Nova, this a good move for them. I hope the deal goes through.
  • The cost of Don Draper in today's society. This little info graphic about the famous Mad Men character and how much it would cost in today's world to still be the Don Draper from 1962. Check it out below:

  • More details about the Smallville Season 11 Comic book has been released. Here are some things you need to know about it:
    • There will be more Superman then Clark Kent
    • It will be kind of like Superman: Year One with the Smallville cast
    • Chloe and Oliver are married. they want to move to Star City, but cant because of something that happens in the first 12 weeks of their marriage. Maybe a Baby? Maybe more of saving the world?
    • Will have a lot of DC character guest stars just like the show had.
    • Comes out as a digital comic in April and in print in June
    • Here are the covers of the first 2 issues:
    • Issue #1:
      Smallville Season 11 - Issue 1
    • Issue #2
      Smallville Season 11 - Issue 2
  • A new trailer for Season 2 of Game of Thrones has been released. Check it out below:

They also released TV spots that wants fans to pledge their allegiance to their favorite noble house of Westeros. I would have posted them here, but there are 5 different TV spots and I didn't think you guys wanted a post filled with 6 videos and barley anything else. They are all on HBO's website if you want to see them.

QOTD: Which N
oble House of Westeros are you pledging your allegiance to?

Teenage Alien Ninja Turtles?!

As always on the Monday post, The Weekend Box Office Results:
  1. 21 Jump Street
  2. Dr. Seuss' The Lorax
  3. John Carter
  4. Project X
  5. A Thousand Words
Now for the movie news of the week:
  • Robert Rodriguez is planning to film both Sin City 2 and the the sequel to Machete called Machete Kills this summer. He says he will be working on  Machete Kills first then moving to Sin City 2. I don't know if this is a smart move for him. Filming 2 films in one year back to back could make one or both turn out bad. Sin City 2 should be done first then start on Machete Kills next year. That's just my opinion.
  • Paranormal Activity 4 now has a writer. Zack Estrin who is already attached to ABC's The River as the writer and executive producer. I wonder what will be in store next for the franchise. Paranormal Activity 4 already has a release date for October 19th, 2012.
  • Jurassic Park will be re released in 3D on July 19, 2013. I wonder if they are going to make changes to this movie too.
  • Lionsgate and WWE Studios have announced that they will be rebooting the Leprechaun franchise for a 2013 release. Those movies still freak me out.
  • An update on the live action reboot of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise. First of all  Michael Bay is set to produce the film. He also hints about the change that will be made in the Turtle's origin story. In the reboot the turtles will not be mutated by the Ooze, but will be aliens to the us. I cant believe that they came up with this idea as an actual reboot of the movies. Its like changing Superman's origin so that he was born on earth and mutated and become Superman. There is no way that this idea could ever work for me. If anybody has seen the live action movie for the series back in 1990, it was a good movie and is still very good in the sense of the franchise. It has a release date for December 25th, 2013, but as of right now I do not plan on seeing it.

QOTD: Did the Leprechaun franchise ever scare you?

Scream! Its the Last Man Walking Dead!

I don't really watch too much TV, but this past week I watched 3 shows. I watched the season 2 premier of The Walking Dead, I saw the third episode of Tim Allen's new comedy on ABC called Last Man Standing, and I also watch The 2011 Scream Awards on SpikeTV.

As me being a big fan of The Walking Dead comics (I own comics 1-80) I loved the first season. The new season started out slow, but in a good way. It prepared you for what was coming ahead in the episode and also what’s coming ahead in the season. I don't want to give any Spoilers, except that not too many zombies were killed in the first episode. It left you at a cliff hanger and I can’t wait until the new episode this Sunday night.

If you liked Home Improvement, you will probably love Last Man Standing. Being Tim Allen's first TV Role since Home Improvement I was hoping for something that made me laugh. He plays a father in a house full of women that works for an Outdoors company that is like Bass Pro Shop. He was a traveling father working on his company catalog and they cancelled his catalog and moved him to online product description videos (which are very funny.) So now he is home more to give fatherly advice to people on the internet and take care of his grandson. The show got very high ratings and I really enjoyed it and laughed a lot. The next episode comes out this Tuesday at 8 PM and I will definitely be watching it.

And finally the 2011 Scream Awards. This was the first time I watched it and I definitely liked it. I didn't get a chance to vote online and only one won that I didn't want to win. They honored Robert Downey Jr. and Nicolas Cage and put inducted them into the Scream Hall Of Fame. It was a really good rewards show, though this was the first rewards show I have ever seen. Next year I will definitely vote and watch the rewards show next year.
