Troy and Abed in the Morning!

The Television news for this week:
  • Tony Shalhoub will be making his return to TV soon. He has signed on for a yet to be titled series from Rob Greenberg, the executive producer of How I Met Your Mother. He is set to play a man named Frank who is a self-proclaimed ladies man that has had four divorces. Tony Shalhoub is just one of those actors to me that I will always watch if the thing he is on is good.
  • BBC America is producing a Three Musketeers TV series. The series will be written by Adrian Hodges, who recently did  My Week with Marilyn. The series will follow Athos, Porthos, and Aramis and will follow them as they are assigned to protect the King and their country. The series will be appropriately titled  The Musketeers and will be a 10 episode series.
  • NBC picks up a new comedy series with Michael J. Fox. It is a yet to be titled series inspired by his real life. The series follows Fox as a husband and father of three living in New York City and dealing with his family, career, and challenges, that include having Parkinson’s disease. The show has a full series order of 22 episodes with director Will Gluck, Easy A, and Sam Laybourne, Arrested Development and Cougar Town, are on board as executive producers and co-creators.
  • Malcolm McDowell will be on Community next season as a History Professor. He will have a two episode arc on Community and will play Professor Cornwallis, a history teacher. I'm pretty sure Abed will be making reference to his appearance in A Clockwork Orange. Season 4 of Community premieres Friday, October 19th @8:30pm on NBC.

Community will never be the same!

The Television news for the week:
  • ABC is still planning on doing a Hulk TV series. The series would be coming from the amazing writer, director, producer Guillermo del Toro. To continue the story that The Avengers movie started, they would need to bring on Mark Ruffalo as the show runner. The special effects would have to be great and  be done under a budget. And lastly it would need a large viewership to keep it running. I don't see the show happening, but it would be really nice to see it happen.
  • CBS has released sneak peeks for Elementary and Vegas. If you remember me talking about Elementary being a modern Sherlock Holmes in America with Lucy Liu playing Watson.
    • Sneak Peek for Elementary:

I still think Sherlock from BBC is better.
    • Sneak Peek for Vegas:
  • Here is the first footage from CW's new series Arrow:
    • Here is the trailer for the series:

  • Dan Harmon has been fired as Community Show runner. He went to his Tumblr account to issue a statement. This really shocked me after Season 3 finale just aired last Thursday. The show will still have a 4th season, but without Dan Harmon. Since he is out, do you think that David Guarascio and Moses Port can continue the show? If so, can it be done so that the fans will continue to love it. Could they bring up the ratings so that the show will do better then ever? I hope so!

NBC gets Channel of the Year Award!

The television news for the week:
  • NBC has renewed 30 Rock, Community, and Parks and Recreation for another season, but with a catch. They will all have shortened seasons. Each show will average about 13 to 14 shows this season. 30 Rock is coming back for its seventh and mostly likely final season. After the long mid season hiatus for Community, people weren't sure if it there would be a season four. Parks and Recreation will be back for its fifth season. NBC also decided to cancel Awake after a first season full of mixed reviews.
  • Fox decides to pick up the show Touch for another season and decides to cancel Alcatraz, The Finder, Breaking In, and I Hate My Teenage Daughter. This is sad, I kind of liked The Finder and Breaking In, even though I have only seen one episode of each show. The renewal of Touch doesn't come as a surprise since it was such a smash hit with audiences.
  • The cast of Grey’s Anatomy has signed contracts for seasons 9 and 10. This is sad since I think the show is a ripoff of Scrubs and is really bad Television. I cant believe a show like this has lasted this long.
  • AMC renews Comic Book Men and The Talking Dead for another season each. I was surprised that Comic Book Men could get another season sin it was really hard for me to watch it. It was boring, lame, and couldn't keep my attention. The Talking Dead on the other hand was pretty cool. Chris Hardwick made the after show for The Walking Dead fun and Entertaining. I am now a big fan of The Nerdist Podcast that is hosted by Chris Hardwick and I can't wait for season 3 of The Walking Dead to return so that he can talk about the show with some more special guests.
  • The CW orders many shows, but me being a guy and a comic book nerd only one is worth watching for me. Arrow, the TV show adaption of the Green Arrow Comic Books seems to be working out as a good show. The CW also adds The Carrie Diaries, Beauty and the Beast, First Cut, and Cult to the line up this fall.  The Carrie Diaries will serve as a Sex and the City Prequel. Beauty and the Beast will be the modern version of the TV show back in the 80's. First Cut will be like an ER equivalent of the movie Mean Girls. The TV show Cult will be about an Investigative journalist who investigates the growing number of suspicious macabre happenings surrounding a show called Cult (isn't that already the name of this show?) and the weird happenings of super fans taking their devotion to the show to weird and scary places in the weird world. Its seems to be kind of like Supernatural to me.
  • Jon Favreau and J.J. Abrams have a new show coming out this Fall. It is a Sci-Fi Show coming to NBC and is called Revolution.
Here is the trailer for the show:

As long as my work schedule isn't so heavy on the Monday's I will be watching this show!
  • Yet another show that could be good is coming to NBC. The show is called Chicago Fire and features Jesse Spencer from House, Check out the trailer below:

The F'n Osbournes are back BABY!

The Television news for the week:
  • After a 7 year absence from TV the Osbourne's will be making a return to Prime-time television. The famous family will be lending their voices for the stop-motion animations of their selves. The series will be called  The F’n Osbourne's (The F stands for family). This show will not be suitable for kids. So far there is no word on when this show will be released and where it will air.
  • A producer for the fan favorite TV show is confident about another season of Community.  Russ Kransoff is feeling pretty confident about the shows 4th season.  The show is a huge fan favorite and even the people at NBC love the show. The show comes back to start to finish its 3rd season this Thursday during its normal 8PM time slot. Russ Kransoff urges fans to not stop spreading the word. I am a huge fan of Community and I do not want to see it go. If you are a fan, spread the word and maybe we can keep the show going together.
  • Season 2 of The Walking Dead is coming to a close this Sunday night a 9PM. The show has seen 2 deaths of main characters, one sorrowful and one everyone has been waiting for. I don't want to get into to much detail about last Sunday nights episode, but one major question about the series might be answered soon. If you remember at the end of the first season where Dr. Jenner whispered something in Rick's ear , the viewers don't know what was said. There have been many rumors on what was said, but only the cast and crew know what was said. It was one of the biggest secrets of the series. We had some insights on what Dr. Jenner might have said, but we are not sure for certain. I am hoping the secret is revealed in the season finale, but who knows if they want to reveal this secret yet. AMC is really good about this and have let nothing slip. I don't know about you, but I will be watching the season finale!

QOTD: What is your theory on what Dr. Jenner whispered to Rick?

Thank You to the Loyal Fans!!

The Television news for the week:
  • Monk is returning to TV, but this time it will be a TV Movie. Yep, thats exactly what I said. The TV movie will be called: Mr. Monk for Mayor. If you cant get the plot from that, then you have some issues. If you are like me, then you have been waiting for this for a pretty long time. I watched the show all the time and I want to know what happens next in Adrian Monk's life. It is set to air on USA in December and they are already talking about sequel to it.
  • Community returns to NBC on March 15th and will take it usual Thursday nights at 8PM time slot. The loyal fans have done it again. The only problem I have with this is now that I am a fan of The Big Bang Theory, it is going to be hard to choose which one to watch. Looks like right now it will be Community!
  • The Last Airbender: Legend of Korra series is actually going to happen. Here is the trailer to  Nickelodeon's series, Avatar: The Last Airbender:

(I think they are trying to clean up the mess that the live action movie brought to the series.)
  • FINALLY!!! The role of The Governor has been cast and has been given to British actor, David Morrissey. Season 3 has already been signed for 16 episodes. Filming will start soon and I was hoping that they would have cast the role of  Michonne already. Unless she will not be in Season 3.
  • James Spader will be leaving The Office at the end of the 8th season. Could this mean that The Office will be closing down soon? Unless that can bring in a new leader, I dont think it will be around much longer. It will be sad to watch the show go off the air, but it is nice to put a dying show to rest. But dont forget about  the Dwight Schrute spin-off where he runs his families Bed and Breakfast.
  • CBS's Elementary Series has taken a turn for the worst.  Johnny Lee Miller could play a good Sherlock, but  Lucy Liu as Watson? Its like having Wonder Women played by a man! It can not be successfully done. Arthur Conan Doyle is rolling over in his grave right now. I would rather watch BBC's Sherlock series then watch this. I may end up doing that anyways.

  • Dragons: The Series looks like a good show for kids. I saw the movie, but dont plan on seeing the show. I just hope the original cast is back in it.
  • Here is a list of TV Shows I have been watching in Marathon format lately:
    • Scrubs
    • The Office
    • The Walking Dead
    • The Big Gang Theory
    • Mad Men
    • Psych
    • Community
    • Supernatural
    • Eureka
    • How I Met Your Mother
    • 24
    • Arrested Development
    • Sons of Guns
    • The Colony
    • Being Human US Version
    • Surviving The Cut
    • Spiderman
    • The A-Team
    • America: The Story of Us
  • As you guys can tell, I have no life and I love Netflix Instant Streaming! I wish I could get a partnership with them.

Clark Kent is Superman?! NO WAY!!!

The Television new for this week:
  • CW's Green Arrow series will be called Arrow. Writers and producers are calling the series edgy, provocative, and sophisticated. Its also planned to be not as much of a TV comic book like Smallville was. They are saying Oliver Queen is suppose to be like Jason Bourne/Rambo with arrows. If it is any good as they say it will be it may be worth a watch.
  • House is coming to an end soon. Season 8 will be its last season. Fans are being promised and Amazing Finally! I personally have not been following the show for sometime now. The show started to get repetitive and dragged on for too long. Though it is still sad to see it go of the air.
  • Remember how Smallville ended without you seeing Clack Kent wearing the Superman Suit. Well, the producers took that into consideration and are going to be releasing Smallville Season 11 as a comic book. It will pick up  six months after the TV series ended and will Follow Clark/Superman through his first year as Superman. The side character that will be in the comic are Oliver Queen/Green Arrow, Chloe Queen, Lois Lane, and Lex Luthor.  DC Entertainment are trying to have the first chapter ready to release online April 12 and a print to be released  May 16. A new Chapter will be released digitally each week and will release one month later as a psychical comic book. Here is a taste of what the comic will look like:
    smallville-season-11-cover
  • Community is coming back this spring and has a surprise ending to the season. According to Joel McHale a Male Character in the show will die at the end of the season, but it will not be one of the main Cast members. Now the only question is, who is going to die? Could it be Star-Burns? Could it be Leonard? Or could it be Magnitude aka the Pop Pop guy? And could this be the Series Finally? I guess we will just have to wait and find out.

Live action Star Wars TV Show!

Today's little bit of news:
  • NBC says that Community will be back this spring, but they didn't announce the time slot it will get in their evening lineup. My hopes is that it comes back at a new time and continues through a fourth season.
  • Frank Darabont, one of the creative minds behind The Walking Dead TV series, is now working on a new TV series on TNT called L.A. Noir. Not to be confused with the popular Rockstar game L.A. Noire, the series will be about an LA Police Cheif and a Mobster.  Which is simular to HBO's Boardwalk Empire. The series will be based on the book L.A. Noir: The Struggle for the Soul of America’s Most Seductive City by John Buntin.
  • A Live action Star Wars series gets a working title,  Star Wars: Underworld. The series is suppose to take place in the 20 years between Episode III an IV while Luke is growing up, but it will not be about Luke. It will be about the criminals, gangs, and the Empire trying to take things over. The link ti the full interview will be here: What Will the Star Wars Live Action TV Show Be Called?

Lots of news for a Tuesday!

Alright! I have some bad news for you avid readers. As you know, i'm in college. And with college comes Finals. Which mine happen to be next week. This week is a massive review for my Finals. I missed yesterdays post because I was out with a group studying for one of my Finals. This week and next week will be shortened to only 3 posts a week. Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday will be the days that I post blogs. Tuesday will consist of Movie and TV news, Thursday will consist of Gaming and Tech news, and lastly Friday will be a normal day with only Music news.

With all that taken care of, lets get to the news:

Weekend Box Office Results:

  1. The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 (Seriously?!)
  2. The Muppets
  3. Happy Feet Two
  4. Arthur Christmas
  5. Hugo
  • There is a Tomb Raider reboot coming out, sadly.
  • X Men: First Class 2 will mainly be about Charles Xavier.
  • Paul Bettany is back in "The Avengers" as J.A.R.V.I.S.
  • A rumor is out that Ellen Page will be Barbra Gordan in "The Dark Knight Rises".
  • "The Bourne Legacy" could be a good spin off for Jeremy Renner.
  • Star Trek 2 to be released in May 2013 and to be in 3D.
  • "Red Dawn" remake finally getting released on November 2nd, 2012. Thats 3 years after filming rapped.
  • "The Dark Knight Rises" will be Christian Bale's last Batman movie, unless Christopher Nolan makes more.
  • Director Guillermo del Toro is in the process of making a Hulk TV show for Marvel.
Now to the TV News:
  • "The Walking Dead" has hit mid season and wont be back until February.
  • "Community" is stuck in a bad place right now. NBC changed its season line up and now its left out. Not cool NBC! I just started watching the show a week ago and I have bought season one and two and waiting to watching them after I get done with my Finals. This show is hilarious and there is no reason why it shouldn't be on the air.
Until next time,
