When Was the Last Time You Saw Bin Laden?

The Weekend Box Office Results from last weekend:
  1. The Bourne Legacy
  2. The Campaign
  3. The Dark Knight Rises
  4. Hope Springs
  5. Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days
The Movie news for this week:
  • Here is the first Official picture of Daniel Day-Lewis as Abraham Lincoln:
    Daniel Day-Lewis as Abraham Lincoln
If you have not heard Steven Spielberg is making a Abraham Lincoln Biopic called Lincoln. The movie is based on Doris Kearns Goodwin’s best-seller “Team of Rivals: The Political Genius of Abraham Lincoln". The movie starts around the time where Lincoln realizes that the Emancipation Proclamation was simply a war powers act and will be struck down by lawyers after the Civil War. He then realizes that he needs to abolish slavery by constitutional measure.
  • The Avengers News:
    • Jeremy Renner didn't play the Hawkeye he signed on for. He was hoping to play the Hawkeye from the comic books. You know, the cocky, hot headed loud mouth with nothing to lose. I totally agree with him. That was the only thing that I did not like about The Avengers. Hopefully this will change in The Avengers 2.
    • Joss Whedon has signed on to write and direct The Avengers 2. He has signed a 3 year deal with Marvel and has confirmed the release of The Avengers 2 to be in the Summer of 2015.
  • Ben Affleck is talks to direct the Justice League movie. If this is true it could mean something good/bad for DC. He is a good director, but I am a little worried on how he will take the story. If you find the right script, stick to the source material, and find the right set of Actors/Actresses to play the roles of the Superheros then this could be a good movie.
  • Donald Faison has signed on for Kick-Ass 2. He is set to play Doctor Gravity, a Physics Professor by day and a gravity pole wielding crime fighter by night. This is a good move for the movie since  Donald Faison already has a cult following since he was on Scrubs. Hopefully there will be some "Guy Love" between him an Kick-Ass.
  • Heather Graham is back in The Hangover 3 to reprise her role as the stripper Jade. The Hangover: Part 3 is set to release on May 24, 2013.
The Movie Trailers of the Week:
  • Zero Dark Thirty:
  • This is 40 Trailer #2:
  • Trouble with the Curve:
  • Red Dawn Remake:

"Oh goodness, look at my wrist, I have to go."

The television news for the week:
    • The CW is in talks to create a Battle Royal TV series. Battle Royal is what I like to call the Japanese version of The Hunger Games. This news is dropping from the LA Times and they say that the CW is talking with Hollywood reps behind closed doors about launching the English language version properly. Could the series get the green light and  Koushun Takami's approval?
Just image this being on TV:
      Battle Royale Controversy
    • It looks like Anger Management is getting picked up for 90 more episodes. FX president John Landgraf has been hinting this after the success of the first season's ratings. Also Papa Sheen, Martin Sheen, will have a reoccurring role on the show as Charlie Sheen's character's father. I have not seen the show yet, but I hear good things.
    • Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog is set to premier on the CW this October. If you havent heard of it, it is the brainchild of Joss Whedon and was created due to the 2007-2008 writers strike. It tells the story of an aspiring supervillain named Dr. Horrible, played by Neil Patrick Harris and his heroic yet cocky nemesis, Captain Hammer, played by Nathan Fillion. Its a battle for the heart of the woman they both love, Penny, played by Felicia Day. Keep an eye out for it on Tuesday, October 9 at 9 p.m.
    • Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles have signed on to continue their roles as Sam and Dean for 2 more seasons. The hopes are high for the show now that Jeremy Carver is the show runner. But with the show now going into production of 2 more seasons, will the 10th season be the end of the series?
    • The Incredible Hulk TV show ready to start production, but still needs a writter. The series will be done by Guillermo del Toro and will be for ABC.

    What a crazy random happenstance!

The Television news for the week:
    • A TV show for the movie Braveheart is in the works. It is planned to be a prequel to the blockbuster which stared crazy old Mel Gibson. The TV series will be about William Wallace before he was king focusing on his back story and the years he spent fighting to unify Scotland. So far there is no word if Mel Gibson is a part of it or what network it will be on.
    • There has been some amazing news coming from The Walking Dead this week. The famed characterMichonne, from the comic books has made a revel in Sunday nights Season 2 finale. Danai Gurira is set to play her in Season 3. Michonne is defined as a meth-addict, sword swinging lawyer who brings her zombified boyfriend and best friend with her. Its has also been confirmed that  Merle, played by Michael Rooker, will be back in Season 3. No word yet if he will be in a hallucination or if he will be in the prison waiting for the group. We already know that David Morrissey is playing the Governor in Season 3. They will start filming for Season 3 in May and Season 3 will premiere this fall on AMC.
    • Simon Pegg might be joining TNT's L.A. Noir as a regular guest star. There is no word yet on what his role will be since he is still in talks with TNT and Frank Darabont. Seems like a cool role for him since he will also be working on Star Trek 2 and MI:5. This will be his return to TV since he did Spaced back in 2001. Speaking of that, Spaced is on Netflix Instant streaming. If you like British comedy, then you will like Spaced.
    • Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog 2 is going to start filming this summer. Joss Whedon has confirmed that they are planning to film the long awaited sequel to Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog Joss Whedon has said that he has a number of songs written and has the outline ready. There is no word yet on who will be back to reprise their roles.
    • The first image of Stephen Amell in his Green Arrow costume for The CW's Green Arrow Pilot called Arrow has been released. Check it out below:
