Something Catchy to get you to click this link!!!

As I always on the Monday blog, I post the Weekend Box Office Results:
  1. Underworld Awakening
  2. Red Tails
  3. Contraband
  4. Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close
  5. Haywire
Now onto the movie news for this week:
  • The Lone Ranger movie to start filming in New Mexico this March. You know, the movie that has been talked about by Disney for at-least 5 years. Armie Hammer will play John Reid/The Lone Ranger and Johnny Depp will play Tonto.
  • George Lucas is returning to his roots. Right after his newest movie, Red Tail, opens in theaters he announces he will no longer do Blockbuster film-making and return to experimental film-making. This does not account for the Star Wars Saga he is releasing back into theaters as a 3D set. He also states that he will come back if some how Indiana Jones 5 does end up happening.
  • The Expendables 2 will now be PG-13 thanks to Chuck Norris. He insisted that the Fowl language from the film be removed or he would not be apart of the project. This was back when he just got the script and was offered the role. As you can tell, they changed the script and he is still apart of the project. I wouldn't think that this is a bad thing. I mean, it opens up the movie to a wider audience and allows more money to be made.
  • Kristen Wiig is not coming back for Bridesmaids 2 and now the sequel may not be made. The concept of the sequel without Kristen Wiig seemed good, but Judd Apatow now does not want to move forward with the project. Unless he and his cronies can make a good concept happen.
  • Rumor: Hancock 2 may happen and Will Smith is still interested.
  • President of Marvel Studios production Kevin Feige says The Red Skull will not be the main villain  in 'The Avengers'. He also says he may show up in future movies.

QOTD: Could a PG-13 Expendables 2 make it at the movies with Chuck Norris?

P.S. Here is a video a friend sent me. It has nothing to do with movies, but is still pretty funny.

Was the Jetsons TV show Racist?

As always on the Monday blog, the Weekend Box Office Results:

  1. The Devil Inside
  2. Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol
  3. Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows
  4. The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2011)
  5. Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked
Now onto the news for the day:
  • Now this is only a rumor and maybe a good one at that, but Bradley Cooper might be Lex Luthor in Superman: Man of Steel.
  • New Line Cinema wants to make a Horrible Bosses Sequel? Right now the original cast is back for it. Which means it might be the same story over again. The only this could turn out good is if the they change characters (which already has not happened) or change the story so that they help other people get rid of their Horrible Bosses. I could see this being good, but not with the same story line.
  • Bridesmaids 2 might happen without  Kristen Wiig. Which if this happens the movie will focus on  Melissa McCarthy’s character Megan. Either way I think it would be a funny movie.
  • Les Misérables could be an amazing movie remake.  Hugh Jackman will play  Jean Valjean, Anne Hathaway will play  Fantine,   Russell Crowe will play Javert. I saw the play back in High School and this could end up being a good remake.  Les Misérables was originaly made into a movie back in 1998 with  Liam Neeson, Geoffrey Rush, and Uma Thurman.
  • Matthew Vaughn in talks with unknown person to write and direct Kick-Ass 2: Balls to the Wall.
  • Tim Burton wants to direct a live-action  Pinocchio (Yet another remake) and have Robert Downey Jr. as Gepetto.
  • Kanye West is the  artistic supervisor for the Live Action Jetsons movie. Finally, almost 20 years after the Flintstones movie was made there is a Jetsons movie being made. Now my only question is, will  the movie be as racist as the show? Notice there was only white people in the show.
